EastEnders fans convinced they’ve worked out ‘new Queen Vic owners’ as current pub landlords come under fire
Fans think that The Hawkins family will take over the pub from Kat and Alfie

FANS of EastEnders think there will soon be ‘new Queen Vic owners’ as viewers grow tired of the current landlords.
The current owners, Kate, Alfie and the Slaters, have come under fire and fans have set their sights on a new family to run the pub.

Earlier this month, a new family rocked up on the square connected to Nicola Mitchell.
BBC signed up Beyond Paradise and Holby City stars to make up the Hawkins family – who fans think will be behind the bar in time for Christmas.
Nicola’s estranged sister Gemma, along with her husband Ned and their son Ryder, arrived in Walford.
They were joined by her mother Rose, and Nicola’s youngest sister Jodie.
When their promo pics dropped, fans noticed how they were stood outside of The Queen Victoria pub.
And now viewers reckon the family will soon be running the iconic establishment.
On X, one person said: “After Zoe dies, Kat and Alfie will sell the Vic to buy the Slater house from Suki.
“This lot [The Hawkins family] will be running the Vic by Christmas. I’ll put money on it.”
Someone then shared the theory on Reddit and added: “Would also make sense why it’s a photoshoot outside of the Vic.”
A second person said: “Weirdly enough I think this might actually happen.”
“I’d actually put money on this too. The husband will end up being some wealthy guy,” wrote a third.
“They have always been desperate to have Nicola filling Barbara Windsor‘s shoes,” noted a fourth.
Meanwhile, some fans slated The Slaters and were quick to call them out for not being the landlords they thought they’d be.
“The Slaters being back in the Vic hasn’t worked WHATSOEVER,” said one person.
“Kat and Alfie don’t have the charisma for the central hub of the square,” penned a second.
This comes after The Hawkins family made a brief appearance in the soap this week.
Nicola’s mum and two sisters popped up in just two episodes, with them due to make a comback with the rest of their family soon.
Holby City’s Patricia Potter and Beyond Paradise’s Jamie Bamber take on the roles of Gemma Hawkins and Ned Roper, with Felix Uff playing their son, Ryder.
They are joined by Marian McLoughlin, who plays Rose, and Anna Constable as Jodie.
On joining the show, actress Patricia told the BBC: “I am so delighted to be joining this iconic show as part of a new family.
“What a joy and a privilege to be working with such talented actors and wonderful people. I couldn’t be more excited and grateful!”
