Emmerdale

The most innocent man in Emmerdale may be having an affair

The character is definitely hiding something

The following article contains spoilers from the episode of Emmerdale dated October 21. It hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX and YouTube.

Oh Liam, what are you up to?

The Emmerdale character, played by Jonny McPherson, has caused concern in today’s episode, as he’s very clearly hiding a secret from his partner Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter).

Considering he lives in the middle of a village that has faced an insane amount of drama and crime over the years, Liam’s track record isn’t that bad.

Alright, the situationship he had with Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) was definitely questionable, borderline criminal, and something I’d absolutely prefer to forget. But generally, local GP Liam Cavanagh is a pretty innocent guy.

It seemed Liam didn’t want to spend time with Chas

This is perhaps why it was so shocking to see him acting weird around Chas.

In the pub back room, Chas noticed that Liam was distracted by something on his phone. She wondered if they should spend some time together, but Liam claimed that he couldn’t due to how busy he is at work, and also needing to attend a conference.

No bother! Chas suggested that she could come with him. Weirdly, Liam then made an effort to tell Chas that she’d find the conference quite boring, hoping that she would change her mind about going.

Liam has lost a lot in his life. His first wife died, his relationships with Bernice and Leyla failed, and his daughter was murdered. You’d think that Liam has the ability to recognise that he’s got a good thing going with Chas – and he shouldn’t do anything to jeopardise that.

So, is he having an affair?

What’s Liam up to?

Or is something else going on?

The possibility of Liam cheating on Chas increases in upcoming episodes, as Chas spots him exiting his car with Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker)!

Chas wants answers. What will Liam say next?
