Devastating Lee secret exposed in EastEnders – and a shocking Mick twist follows
Lee Carter’s secrets have been exposed

Lee Carter (Danny Hatchard) has been telling some major fibs since his return to EastEnders this month, but the truth has finally been exposed.
It’s been a busy time for Lee, who is expecting a baby with partner Jess, with sister Nancy Carter (Maddie Hill) acting as surrogate.
This news came as a shock to Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), and she was furious to discover that Jess had seemingly walked out on Lee.
In tonight’s episode, Linda and Lee returned to Albert Square after attempting to track Jess down – only to discover that she was already at Peacock’s Palace.
As Jess revealed her side of the story, it was instantly apparent that Lee had been lying to Linda about Jess cutting him off. In reality, it had been the other way round.
Jess proved that she was telling the truth by attempting to call Lee there and then, only the call was unable to connect.
With her credibility reinstated, Jess explained to Linda that Lee had developed a drinking problem, which began around the time Mick Carter disappeared.
She explained that it got even worse when Mick’s death certificate arrived, and Linda was caught completely off-guard when Jess revealed that Lee had had the certificate revoked.
Linda later confronted Lee about the revelation, and he was adamant that without irrefutable proof that Mick was dead, he wasn’t prepared to accept the possibility.
He pointed out that he could have suffered memory loss or something similar, which would explain why he hadn’t come home.
It was clear Linda wasn’t convinced, but she didn’t have the opportunity to argue.
As Lee walked away, she picked up the orange juice he’d left behind and was devastated to realise that it had vodka mixed in.
When Linda exposed this to the family, Lee continued to deny that he had a problem. Will the family be able to help him?
