The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives spin-off was long speculated about.
Jen Jenkin, one of the producers, talked about the spin-off in an interview in November 2025.
He stated (via Deadline):
“I’m very hopeful that something will be coming to viewers and fans very soon.”
The current cast members of The Secret Housewives of Mormon Wives answered some questions from the fans during the “Get Real Event.”
Mayci Neeli stated:
“I actually have some friends we’d like to introduce. One of them just so happens to be my sister. Maybe they can answer this question a little bit better than I can.”
Miranda added:
“That’s right. MomTalk is expanding and heading west. I’m so excited to introduce you guys to the secret lives of Mormon wives, Orange County.”
They then called the new cast members on stage.
One of the most talked-about cast members in the spin-off is Bobbi Althoff.
Bobbi has been known for her podcast and social media presence since 2021.
Her interview with Drake became one of the biggest talking points amongst fans.
She recently talked about the interview (via Good Guys podcast):
“Like, I think in this summer will be like 3 years since that happened. Like I was so not focused on having it be a podcast. it was just going to be the clips that I was really post posting. I get a call from Marco one day and he’s like, ‘Chuck, who just followed you?’ And I was like, ‘Well, I go look.’ And I’m like, ‘Oh my god.’ So I was like, ‘Let me ask him to be on the show.’ So I DM’d him. So, all I had to do was like just send pitches out to everybody and just like hope that they like take it, right? Like I ask people every day. Like to this day, that’s all I have to do is just DM people. But that’s how I’ve gotten like the majority of my guests is just with the DM.”
Fans had mixed reactions to Bobbi’s appearance on the spin-off.
One netizen said on X:
“Wait Bobbi is Mormon!? Since when?”
Another one stated:
“Bobbi isn’t Mormon or a wife so I guess show titles don’t matter anymore lol.”
A fan comment on Reddit read:
“This has got to be a joke. Bobbi Althoff??? Avery Woods? Neither one of them are Mormon. I have no clue who any of these other girls are. But I’m thinking this is satire.”
“The only names I recognize are Bobbi and Avery and they are both incredibly annoying. I’ll pass,” another netizen remarked.
One fan expressed their excitement on a subreddit thread and wrote:
“I’m actually excited for this show too.”
One fan said:
“I must be old because these just look like every other girl I see at Fashion Island on a Saturday afternoon. Other than Bobbi, who even are these people?!”
