Emmerdale revisits two big Cain and Moira stories in special five-character episode
"It brings up the past…"

Emmerdale spoilers follow from Wednesday’s episode (29 April), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet.
Emmerdale‘s Cain and Moira Dingle clash over painful moments from their past tonight in a special episode featuring just five characters.
The ITV soap lets the couple take centre stage once again in Wednesday’s episode, as they seem to be facing an uncertain future following Cain’s prostate cancer diagnosis.
As well as Cain and Moira, there are appearances from Liam Cavanagh, Chas Dingle and Eric Pollard as they each play a role in supporting the pair.

With Cain worrying that his prostate operation will affect the physical side of his relationship with Moira, he expresses his fears in a candid heart-to-heart with Liam.
Meanwhile, Chas provides a listening ear to Moira, who’s frustrated over Cain cutting her out when they should be speaking honestly about the future.
Later, once Cain and Moira come face-to-face again, talk of intimacy issues leads to inevitable discussions over past indiscretions: Moira’s affair with Nate, and Cain’s moment of madness with Ruby.
Natalie J Robb, who plays Moira, recently teased: “Cain does say some awful things as well. It brings up the past.”
Jeff Hordley, aka Cain, chimed in: “In only the way the scriptwriters would do! Cain talks about Nate, Moira talks about Ruby.”

Both stars are hopeful that Cain and Moira can work through their issues – but fans will have to tune in to see whether there’s a ray of hope by the end of the episode.
“It’s good – it’s honest, like you’d see in a relationship, and that’s what’s nice,” Natalie continued. “They’re showing you a marriage where the two characters are trying to get through something, rather than flying off the handle and doing things that are stupid. They’re trying to navigate their way through it.
“They both don’t know the answers but they’re trying to deal with things as they go. They don’t really know what the outcomes are going to be yet. A lot of it is hypothetical.”
