Sarah in danger on Coronation Street as prison attack leaves her injured
Sarah Platt is currently locked-up

Orange is the new Platt. Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien), that is. Coronation Street’s Girl Next Door’s spell behind bars is about to take a shocking when she finds herself the victim of a vicious prison beating.
Sarah Platt’s story really is going full on Bad Girls, isn’t it?
Don’t let the Captain Hindsights on social media fool you. Precisely nobody thought this Queen of Weatherfield was ever going to be the one who murdered Theo Silverton (James Cartwright).
Perhaps because Coronation Street – arguably admittedly – deliberately misled the audience into believing that. But hey. I’m over it if you are.
Despite teasing a rogues gallery of six suspects, the only one not on that list turned out to be the one who pushed the nastiest builder in Weatherfield off the very scaffolding that he erected.
Besides, Theo was an absolute wrong’un who bullied, beat and tormented her best friend Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) into a toxic relationship behind closed doors. Surely nobody was going to lock up such a legacy character like Sarah over a two-bit toegrag like Theo.
Nobody it seemed, apart from DS Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers). To be fair, it is kind of her job.

Despite the best effort of her bent copper boyfriend Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) to frame her ex Gary Windass (Mikey North) for the crime, the truth finally came out when police swarmed the Platts’ and Lisa personally slapped the cuffs on Sarah.
Even with Sarah banged up, Kit is determined to spring his jailbird from her cell.
This week’s trip to the Cobbles will see Weatherfield’s most bent bobby attempt to prove that Gary was the reason Sarah didn’t go to the police at the time.
Sarah killed Theo in self-defence, and immediately called Gary in a panic – which had to sting Kit a bit. Admittedly, Gary does have experience when it comes to murder. If Kit can prove that the badboy builder convinced Sarah not to come forward at the time, it could give her a literal get out of jail free card. Or at the very least, a reduced sentence.
Quite frankly, the sooner Kit can get Sarah out of jail the better. It might already be too late. Because one of her fellow prisoners is about to take a serious disliking to her, in next week’s episodes of Coronation Street
In the prison, Sarah’s left seriously unnerved when a tough looking inmate shoots her a look that could kill.

Later, during visiting hours, Bethany (Lucy Fallon) arrives to see Sarah and is horrified to see that her mum’s face is badly bruised.
Why would anyone hit Sarah? Does the attacker have some kind of connection to Theo? Did they find out that she’s dating a cop? Or did they simply speak to her for more than five minutes?
