Sunday Rose spills on ‘second home’ as dad’s act has ‘Team Nicole rolling their eyes’
As the daughter of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban returned to Sydney, insiders reveal why her father is dipping into his $75 million fortune.
Embracing the preppy look with a pastel pink, collared mini dress – her long hair cascading over her shoulders – Nicole Kidman’s daughter Sunday Rose looked every inch a supermodel in the making as she attended an event in Sydney on May 27.
The youngster – who turns 18 on July 7 – stepped out for the launch of Miu Miu Beauty’s newest fragrance Miutine, chatting happily about her love for Sydney to attending media.
“It is definitely my second home,” the fashionista, who was chaperoned by her aunt Antonia Kidman, told The Daily Telegraph.
“It is a quick trip for me but very sweet, I am really happy to be back. I just think seeing everybody I know when I come and knowing everywhere and going back to my favourite restaurants and everything is really fun about coming back here all of the time.”
While it’s clear Sunday enjoys making the most of city living in Australia, with her return to the place where her beloved mother grew up, insiders claim her father, Keith Urban, is splashing the cash in a different way – digging into his $75 million fortune to treat himself following his high profile divorce from Nicole after 19 years of marriage.
It’s been reported that Keith’s relationship with Sunday has come under strain following the marriage breakdown, with insiders claiming he was left feeling “numb” after Sunday credited Nicole alone for being her “biggest inspiration” in life in a media interview.
And as 58-year-old Keith reportedly grapples with feelings of isolation and sadness, a source tells Woman’s Day he’s working on self-improvement of the physical kind.
“Keith has always been a huge metro-sexual. He loves getting pampered at the spa, getting massages, getting his hair highlighted, his nails done, and now at this stage in life he’s also very big into treatments to tighten his skin,” the insider claims.
“He just dropped a small fortune… to get ready for his tour and all the promo.”
The insider points to Keith’s appearance at the 2026 Academy of Country Music Awards on May 17, as proof that he has “definitely found the sweet spot” when it comes to looking after his appearance.
“He splashed out even more on a new wardrobe, he cleared his whole closet and donated it all to a local charity,” the insider adds.
“He’s going for a much younger look, less country and more 90s which is very on trend but quite young for him, which of course has Team Nicole rolling their eyes and branding it his midlife crisis makeover.”
While Keith hasn’t gone public with a new relationship since his split from Nicole, there have been reports linking him to fellow country singer Karley Scott Collins.
“I hear he has someone, which is why the girls are publicly supporting Mum,” an insider told Daily Mail in January 2025.
“People think they are even living together,” the source went on. “Look, teen girls love their dads, so there’s a reason they’re making it three against one.”
Karley, however, took to social media to slam the claims, calling them “absolutely ridiculous and untrue”.
