Next week on Coronation Street, Cassie decides to leave the cobbles, but may be in danger after a final encounter with Ross.

Meanwhile, Dylan is attacked and left unconscious as the fallout from Betsy’s condition continues, while Kit makes a discovery that could help Sarah.

1. Cassie leaves the street

Cassie wakes up on the sofa at Number 4 feeling worse for wear. Tim explains that he found her drunk at the cab office and brought her home. Cassie reveals that Steve has dumped her and Tyrone has thrown her out.

Later, Cassie informs her family that she’s found a job cleaning on a cruise ship and shares an emotional goodbye with her grandchildren. Fiz gives her a family photo to keep before she departs.

Cassie asks Steve to meet her at the precinct, but Ross pulls up first and offers her a lift. When Cassie gets in, Ross locks the doors and speeds off.

2. Ross lies about Cassie’s whereabouts

Fiz is less than impressed when Ross declares his intention to move nearby.

When Steve quizzes Ross about Cassie, Ross makes out he has no idea where she is. He’s forced to change his story when Steve points out that he saw Cassie get into Ross’s car, and Ross claims he drove Cassie to Piccadilly Station.

Later in the week, Fiz makes her feelings towards Ross clear and tells him that she misses Cassie. Is Ross telling the whole truth about Cassie’s departure?

3. Betsy reaches out to Dylan

Betsy admits to Ryan that she wants to talk to Dylan but is fearful of Lisa’s reaction.

Ryan passes her message on to Dylan, and he pays Betsy a visit. Betsy tries to relieve his guilt by insisting that she doesn’t blame him for her stroke, but their conversation is interrupted by Lisa’s arrival.

4. Dylan is attacked

Lauren and Brody visit Betsy and are concerned to see her struggling to speak. When Lauren learns that Dylan visited Betsy, she sees red and tells Brody that Dylan needs to be held accountable.

Brody confronts Dylan and warns him to stay away from Betsy for good. The situation escalates when Dylan accuses Brody of jealousy, and Nina is forced to intervene as the pair square up.

Later, Nina receives a shock when she finds Dylan unconscious in the precinct.

5. Brody is accused

Sean and Dylan visit Nina with flowers to thank her for helping Dylan.

Sean spots Brody in the street and accuses him of being Dylan’s attacker. Dylan tries to calm Sean down and swears that Brody wasn’t responsible. Who really attacked Dylan?

6. Betsy and Lauren have an argument

While Lauren is looking after Betsy, an argument erupts between the pair and Lauren storms out.

Later, Lauren returns and finds Carla at Betsy’s side. Lauren is gutted to realise that Betsy wet herself in her absence, and Carla lashes out at her for abandoning Betsy.

In the aftermath, Lisa urges Betsy to get some fresh air but she refuses to leave the house. Lauren visits to apologise but will Betsy forgive her friend?

7. Kit reveals the truth to Bethany

When Kit oversees the delivery of a hard drive, Bethany demands to know what he’s hiding.

Kit fills Bethany in on Gary’s role in Theo’s murder and points out that if they can prove Gary prevented Sarah from going to the police, her sentence could be reduced.

8. Kit makes a discovery

Kit examines the data from the hard drive and stumbles upon some new information.

Kit seeks out Gary and comments that he’s had an interesting day. He invites Gary to visit the flat to find out more. Has Kit found what he needs to help Sarah?

9. Debbie fears for her future

Debbie informs Ronnie that she’s going to give up alcohol to try and look after her brain.

Debbie crosses paths with a woman named Sadie, who is trying to find her daughter. Debbie offers to help but is taken aback when Sadie snaps at her.

Later, Debbie encounters Sadie again. Sienna and Asha arrive on the scene, and it becomes clear that Sadie is Sienna’s mum. Sadie doesn’t recognise her daughter and lashes out. As Sienna leads her mum away, Debbie realises this may be a glimpse of her future.

10. Ronnie confides in James

Asha and Sienna discuss Sadie’s dementia and explore various care options. Ronnie listens in on their conversation and confesses to James that his and Debbie’s recent holiday was challenging. Ronnie admits that it was a mistake to take Debbie away from her comfort zone.

With Debbie still shaken from her encounter with Sadie, Ronnie promises that he’ll hire a carer for her when the time comes. Will his statement put Debbie’s mind at rest?

11. Asha tries to help Sienna

Following the incident with Sadie, Asha and Bernie try to convince Sienna that it would be best to find a good nursing home where Sadie will be safe.

Later, Asha reveals to Dev that she accompanied Sienna, her brother and Sadie to view a potential nursing home, but Sadie freaked out when she realised the reason for the visit.

12. Tim’s cousin arrives

Tim is surprised to pick up his cousin, Richie, in his cab. With Sally away, Tim invites Richie over for drinks with the lads but as the cousins reminisce, Steve feels excluded.

At the end of their lads’ night, Richie tells Tim all about his unhappy marriage, and Tim offers him a place to stay for the night.
