EastEnders fan Kerry Scouler revealed she messaged soap star Danny-boy Hatchard to tell him she fancied him
The happy couple are still together now six years on from Kerry making the first move

Kerry had been a frequent viewer of the BBC soap and believed she and Danny-Boy Hatchard would make a solid match.

She decided to shoot her shot and messaged the hunky soap star on social media.

Danny is best known for his role in EastEnders playing Lee Carter, the eldest son of Mick and Linda.

In a video shared to Instagram, Kerry confessed she completely “manifested” her relationship with Danny.

They could be seen cuddled up in the sweet clip, which saw Kerry admit how they really began their romance.

She wrote in text across the video: “Me when I messaged Lee Carter from EastEnders cos I fancied him and we’re still together six years later.”

Kerry captioned the post: “And that’s on manifestation ladies.”

“This is iconic,” said one fan.

Another fan wrote: “Happy you still are [together],” followed by a red love heart and laughing face emoji.

Kerry first shared a snap of the pair on holiday in Cyprus back in December 2020.

They both beamed with joy as they cosied up on a boat.

She captioned the post: “Truly blessed by you.”

Danny-Boy’s EastEnders character was the centre of a high-profile storyline on male mental health
Danny-Boy Hatchard and Kerry Scouler have recently started up a joint Instagram page and have given fans glimpses into their previously private romance

A few months later, Kerry showed fans just how loved-up they were as she posted a clip of a living room covered in fairy lights, candles shaped as a heart, flowers, a meal for two and a book full of all their memories.

While the couple have kept most of their romance under wraps over the years, they have recently created a joint Instagram page.

Danny, 36, and Kerry began posting couples skits back in July and fans have since been inundated with glimpses of their relationship.

Their Instagram bio reads: “Two plonkers plonking.”

Danny joined EastEnders in 2014 as he returned to Albert Square after serving as a corporal in the British Army.

His character Lee was the centre of a high-profile storyline on male mental health as financial strain, work pressure and his personal life began to take a toll.

He left the soap in 2017 when Lee decided to move to Dover for a new life away from wife Whitney and dad Mick after struggling with his mental health.

Danny-Boy was one of seven stars who didn’t have their contracts renewed by producer Sean O’Connor, and while the likes of Ronnie and Roxie Mitchell had a dramatic departure, Lee’s was a bit more of an anti-climax.
