A NEIGHBOURS star has revealed she’s expecting her second child with her ‘step-brother’

Scarlet Vas, who played policewoman Mishti Sharm in the hit Aussie soap opera, and her husband Tayo Ricci announced the joyous news this week.

“We couldn’t keep this a secret any longer…” they said in the caption of a sweet video as they revealed the news to their followers.

The couple are already proud parents to a baby daughter named Silva, who was born in December 2024.

The couple have known each other since they were teenagers when they were growing up in Melbourne, but have teased that they are practically siblings.

Scarlet previously explained that their families knew each other before they met and that they introduced them to each other.

Their parents then started dating and Scarlet has since attracted attention over occasionally referring to Tayo as her ‘stepbrother’.

When they revealed they were expecting their first child together, the internet went wild.

Their baby news came as a shock to some online, with one fan saying at the time: “Are yous actually siblings.”

Another added: “Having a kid with your brother is wild.”

While a third remarked: “You guys are step siblings thats crazy and she’s pregnant and his the father bro you step siblings I know step but still”

Scarlet told Sky news that they don’t let the comments get to them: “Honestly, it doesn’t affect us because we have each other.”

She added that she doesn’t usually read the comment section but when she does, she has a laugh, finding the trolls very entertaining.

She stressed she and Tayo were definitely not blood-related but she preferred to keep the exact details of their family connection private.
