Mystery Coronation Street fallout as show star goes rogue and ‘shames’ fellow actor in shock rant

THE residents of Coronation Street are no strangers to drama, with scheming, cheating and even murder part and parcel of living on the famous cobbles.
But fall-outs among the stars of the ITV soap are rarely spoken about publicly, which is why a recent scathing social media post from Jane Hazlegrove, who plays Bernie Winter, left fans – and her peers – stunned.

The 58-year-old took to Instagram to share a quote reading: “Booking the role isn’t the end of the interview.
“How you behave after you’re hired matters too.”
Making it clear she was taking aim at a co-star, Jane added: “This post makes total sense!
“WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? As my Dad used to say, you are only as good as your last performance! Be nice! And if you can’t be nice… step away… cos people see!”

Fellow Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd, who portrays David Platt, was quick to comment: “This isn’t me is it?”
Jane replied: “Soz pal you don’t win this one!!! No it’s bloody not!!!”
Abi Webster star Sally Carman joined in, replying to Jack’s comment with a laughing emoji.
After being contacted by The Sun for comment, Jane hastily added: “Just for clarification this post is NOT about anyone I am currently working with at Coronation Street. It’s a gentle reminder to be kind and professional at all times!”

A well-placed insider has revealed that Jane has no problem saying it how it is and won’t hold back if someone needs to be pulled up.
A source told The Sun: “Jane is the nicest woman to work with as long as you’re professional.
“She’ll talk to anyone, make sure everyone’s comfortable and is able to have a laugh but when it comes to the work she’s a true professional and she expects that from others too.
“She understands how lucky they all are to do the job they do. So to see people not taking it seriously and not being prepared really grinds her gears.
“She doesn’t suffer fools gladly and has no problem calling people out on their bad behaviour.”
Jane’s post also earned reactions from stars of other soaps, with Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley adding a series of clapping emojis.
Lisa’s co-star Michelle Hardwick, who plays Vanessa the vet on the other ITV soap also added: “Oh I LOVE this.”
It’s unclear who has got under Jane’s skin but we’re told speculation is rife her post was aimed at a new cast member.
Our insider added: “There were some whispers she may have been talking about Frances Barber, as she was a very high profile recent signing, but it wasn’t her.
“She only had a two week guest stint and came and went, so if Jane had a problem with her she would have posted at the time, not waited. Frances is also super professional, so she wasn’t the target of Jane’s ire.”
