“Madly in love”: why Nicole Kidman confession about Tom Cruise is sounding “alarm bells”

Admitting that she sneaks into nightclubs in Ibiza at 1am in disguise was just one of the bombshells Nicole Kidman revealed in a recent tell-all with British Vogue.
But it was Nicole’s candour when speaking about her relationship with first husband Tom Cruise that has surprised not only fans but those in her inner circle.
In the interview she gushed about how she was willing to “throw [her] career away” for love and this in particular has raised alarm bells, especially for ex-hubby Keith Urban, 58.

“[It] just seemed completely natural,” Nicole told the magazine about marrying Tom at 23-years-old.
“We just fell madly in love and it was that simple. I remember people saying to me, ‘OK, well this is really going to affect your career.’ I’m like, ‘I don’t care. I’m in love. I want to be married.’
And then I was his ‘wife’ and they were like, ‘See, we told you.’ I’m like, ‘So what? I wasn’t meant to marry the man I love? Of course I’ll throw my career away. I don’t care.’”
Now a source questions why Nicole is choosing now to talk about her relationship with Tom.
“There’s no doubt Nicole’s provoking Tom on purpose – and Keith wants to know why,” says the insider.
AN INVITATION
“She had to walk away from her own children to be free of that man, and gushing about how madly in love she was with him in the press is setting off alarm bells, not just for Keith,” tells our source, revealing that Nicole, 59, previously hasn’t spoken about Tom publicly for years.
“It wouldn’t surprise him at all if Tom takes it as the invitation it sounds like and gives her a call.
“No one can believe even a small part of Nicole would ever consider going back to Tom, but Keith is starting to worry. She’s looking through rose-tinted glasses and there’s a lot more to that marriage than he thought.
“Keith is now starting to wonder if Nicole fooling around with a B-grade businessman from Beverly Hills is not to make him jealous – but to make her other ex-husband jealous.”
