New Coronation Street spoiler videos confirm devastating reveal of deadly illness

A week of sorrow and celebration is ahead

We’re gearing up for another week of sorrow and celebration on the cobbles of Coronation Street, and lucky for you, we’ve got three brand new spoiler videos to give you a taste of the action.

It’s Debbie Webster’s (Sue Devaney) birthday next week, and as her party gets underway, Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) finds himself overwhelmed by his emotions, and ends up confiding in Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce).

Elsewhere, Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) overhears a suspicious conversation between Kit and Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) and, armed with this new information, she decides to pay Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) a visit in prison…

Meanwhile, Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) is still on the road to recovery after her stroke, and Carla Connor-Swain (Alison King) refuses to give up on keeping her upbeat.

Unfortunately, a visit from Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) doesn’t have the desired effect.

So, what are you waiting for? Take a look below!

Sensing something is wrong, Todd follows Kit out to the beer garden, where Kit blames his emotions on having had too much to drink.

Todd reminds him that he’s been in the same position, getting drunk to avoid confronting his real feelings, but Kit remains guarded, insisting Todd has no idea what he’s talking about.

Todd uses this as an opening to ask Kit what is bothering him, and wrongly assumes that it is to do with Sarah.

When Kit blurts out that he has stage three breast cancer, Todd is stunned.

Wednesday, September 9

As Betsy’s biggest cheerleader, Carla is on a mission to raise her spirits, and her latest tactic is to allow her to spend time with Dylan – though she warns him to make a swift exit should Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) return home.

Unfortunately, things don’t go quite to plan, as Betsy points out that he hadn’t come to see her until after the incident in the Bistro.

When Betsy makes a joke about cancelling him for using the phrase ‘back to normal’, Dylan takes it seriously, which only increases Betsy’s frustration as she points out that they’re allowed to laugh at things.

Still weighed down by guilt for causing Betsy’s stroke, Dylan admits that he couldn’t feel any worse, but Betsy points out that he would if he were the one in her position.

Thursday, September 10

Sarah is surprised when Jodie visits her in prison, and when she apologises for the attack, Sarah points out that she has far bigger things to worry about and would rather they both just forget about it.

However, Jodie feels that she can’t just put it behind them and insists that she owes Sarah.

Wearing her usual devious smile, Jodie reveals that there is something else Sarah should know – but what will she tell her?
