Emmerdale signs up Coronation Street star for harrowing sexual abuse and murder storyline

EMMERDALE has cast a Coronation Street star to feature in an incredibly harrowing sexual assault storyline.
The scenes are set to air on the show in the coming months, with her sharing the screen with Dales legend Charity Dingle.

The Sun can exclusively reveal that Rachael Hayden will be crossing over from Emmerdale to Corrie as part of Charity Dingle’s storyline.
Charity is facing charges for murdering her sexual abuser, Dr. Caitlin Todd.
Though it wasn’t her who actually committed the crime – Sarah Sugden is the true killer, who pushed Dr. Todd during a heated confrontation where she suffered a fatal fall and hit her head on a coffee table.
Dr. Todd was blackmailing Charity over family secrets about a surrogate baby and asking her for money to keep her mouth shut.

When Charity could no longer afford to pay, Dr. Todd sexually assaulted her while she was unconscious.
Initially Charity and Sarah joined forces to cover up Sarah’s crime, saying Charity hit Dr. Todd in self defence.
However, after Sarah discovered that her baby, Leyla, was actually Charity’s biological child, she furiously withdrew her witness statement and claimed Charity forced her to lie.
Charity was then arrested for Dr. Todd’s murder, despite being innocent.
Rachael first appeared on Coronation Street back in 2005 playing the role of an interviewer called Vanessa.
She interviewed Norris Cole for a job role at a stationery firm called Ream Team.
Rachael then returned to the soap four years later to portray the role of an unnamed customer who took her car into Websters’ Auto Centre for repair.
