Jodie takes twisted action to destroy Shona in Coronation Street – and targets unsuspecting David

Jodie Ramsey’s (Olivia Frances-Brown) efforts to destroy sister Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) continued in Coronation Street today, and it involved putting her sibling in danger.

Introduced at the start of this year, Jodie became hellbent on causing Shona chaos due to how hurt she felt over her sister leaving the family home.

When she was a teenager, Shona fell pregnant with her son. She departed the Ramsey household and didn’t look back, meaning Jodie was all alone with their troubled parents.

Jodie’s initial plan was to flirt with Shona’s husband David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) in the hope the couple would eventually split up. Her plot didn’t go the way Jodie had hoped, so she’s been quietly waiting for the next opportunity.

That appeared in today’s episode of the ITV soap, as Jodie realised just how exhausted Shona was.

While her sister napped on the sofa, Jodie slipped into the Platt household and placed a cake in the oven and turned the temperature up.

Eventually, David, Jodie and her dad Doug arrived back home and found the place full of smoke.

In a panic, Shona was certain that she switched the oven off but because of how tired she was feeling, she wasn’t actually sure if she could trust her own mind.

With Jodie in the background absolutely loving every single second, David comforted his wife and then encouraged her to go and rest.

That evening, Jodie took pleasure in supporting David, who was growing worried about Shona.

Jodie even encouraged David to give her a hug. The moment was very weird and awkward, but Jodie was delighted.

With Shona questioning her state of mind, Jodie will no doubt continue to take advantage of this.
