EastEnders fans call out embarrassing Gemma Hawkins blunder – did you spot it?
Gemma Hawkins made an epic blunder in the latest episode of EastEnders
EASTENDERS fans have called out a rather embarrassing Gemma Hawkins blunder, but many viewers likely missed it.
In Tuesday’s episode of the BBC soap, Nicola Mitchell can be seen sitting in Albert Square with her sister Gemma.
Having a chat, the pair are sitting on a bench yapping to one another when Gemma’s phone rings.
Getting it out of her pocket, Gemma glances down at her phone, which is the correct way up, before flipping it upside down.
She then looks at the screen, which is upside down, before telling her sister what’s happening on it.
An eagle-eyed fan spotted how Gemma’s phone was upside down while she used it.
“Gemma, your phone is upside down love,” they penned over the top of the clip.
They added: “How did production not notice this?”
Fans reacted to the blunder, with one person writing: “It was the right way until she turned it upside down herself.”
“She did it herself,” noted another.
While a third offered: “On the phone the screen can rotate so the phone is upside down but not the text she is reading as that’s how phones work.”
Gemma, along with her husband Ned and their son Ryder, recently arrived in Walford.
They were also joined by her mother Rose, and Nicola’s youngest sister Jodie.
Holby City’s Patricia Potter and Beyond Paradise’s Jamie Bamber took on the roles of Gemma Hawkins and Ned Roper, with Felix Uff playing their son, Ryder.
They was joined by Marian McLoughlin, who plays Rose, and Anna Constable as Jodie.
On joining the show, actress Patricia told the BBC back in the summer: “I am so delighted to be joining this iconic show as part of a new family.
“What a joy and a privilege to be working with such talented actors and wonderful people. I couldn’t be more excited and grateful!”
