Vile paedo making shock return to Coronation Street for new twist in abuse storyline – despite being banged up in jail
VILE peado Megan Walsh is making a shock return to Coronation Street for a shock twist in the abuse storyline.
The Sun can reveal that actress Beth Nixon is reprising her role – despite her character being banged up in jail.
PE teacher Megan had been involved in a shocking grooming storyline since she joined the Cobbles late last year.
She first appeared on Coronation Street in November 2025 as an athletics coach, who had a close relationship with student Will Driscoll.
Viewers soon realised that she was in fact sexually grooming the teenager and Will’s family reported her to the police.
After months of abuse, Megan was finally sent to prison for five years for her vile crimes.
But now we can reveal that Megan will be making a shock comeback.
A source said: “Beth Nixon, who played paedo teacher Megan Walsh, is already back on the ITV set filming this week.
“Megan might have been sent to jail back in June but her former pupil Will Driscoll will be shocked when she returns.
“Beth has been filming this week and will be on screen later this year.”
Beth has been filming scenes with Lucas Hodgson-Wale, who plays Will, Catherine Tyldsley, who portrays Eva and Pauline McLynn, who stars as family matriarch Maggie.
ITV had no comment when approached.
In July, actress Beth took to Instagram to share some pictures from her time on the soap and captioned the post: “Megan, you’re a cow and I’ll miss you like a hole in the head.
“Thank you thank you thank you to every single person at @coronationstreet you’ve changed my life!
“Peace out.”
Many followers, including her co-stars, rushed to the comments section to share the love.
Jude Riordan, who plays Sam Blakeman in the show, wrote: “Yes Beth.”
Eva Price legend Catherine Tyldesley wrote: “We love you! Outstanding!!!!”
Farrel Hegarty, who plays Lou Michaelis, commented: “Amazing you are.
Coronation Street is one of the first big roles that Beth has had in her career.
She’s also appeared in various theatre productions while at college.
