EastEnders’ Shona McGarty vows she’d ‘marry boyfriend Tony Discipline tomorrow’ & admits to ‘always liking him’
Shona has revealed she’d marry boyfriend Tony tomorrow if she could

EASTENDERS star Shona McGarty has revealed she’s ready to take the next step in her relationship with Tony Discipline – admitting she’d marry her former co-star “tomorrow”.
The pair, who previously played on-screen lovers on the BBC One soap, have been dating since last summer and are completely smitten.

In a new interview with Closer magazine, Shona said: “I’m really happy, I’ve honestly found my one. Tony is the ultimate gentleman and he treats me like a queen.
“He makes me laugh, he compliments me all the time and he genuinely wants me to do well. I just adore him. Straight away. We’ve always liked each other.”
She continued: “I’d marry him tomorrow! In my book of life, I’ve got all these chapters that are part of my story but now I’m at the chapter where I’ve found my one.”
Her romantic declaration comes just days after Tony dropped a huge hint that a proposal could be on the cards during a red carpet interview.

Asked whether he wanted to marry Shona, Tony said: “Absolutely, that is the love of my life, she’s the love of my life. I don’t want anyone else. That’s my woman, that’s my soulmate.
“We were boyfriend and girlfriend in the show so you build up some kind of rapport. Maybe there was some kind of underlying chemistry there, but in the last year or so it’s really gone up a notch.”
Following her split from fiancé David Bracken, Shona finally confirmed their romance exclusively to The Sun late last summer.
“Me and Tony are official and I am so happy,” she told us.
The pair set tongues wagging after being spotted out together on numerous occasions earlier in the year.
Romance rumours first began swirling in March when they shared a sweet selfie together on St Patrick’s Day.
Following months of speculation, Shona, who played Whitney Dean from 2008 until 2024, told The Sun: “We are in love. He’s The One!”
The actress first met Tony 15 years ago when he joined the BBC One soap as Tyler Moon.
He played the character from 2011 to 2013 before leaving acting and later becoming a firefighter with the London Fire Brigade.
