Family Affairs star Angela Lee Hazeldine has filmed scenes for Emmerdale as part of Samson Dingle‘s impending release storyline.

Samson, played by Sam Hall, has been off screen since August 2024 after being sentenced to four years behind bars.

His exit followed a dark storyline involving Matty Barton and troublemaker Josh Cope, which left an innocent man locked up before Samson finally admitted the truth.

Now his impending return is reopening old wounds for the Dingles – and Angela is going to make an entrance.

Family Affairs is where Angela is best known from

Angela shot to fame on Channel 5 soap Family Affairs playing Gemma Craig between 1999 and 2003.

The show was axed in 2005 due to lower than anticipated viewingfigures and the desire to relocate budgets for the programme elsewhere.

Angela also previously starred in Hollyoaks in 2019, Coronation Street in 2020, and Emmerdale as Lara in 2018.

Her previous role in Emmerdale saw her making a brief appearance as a farmer eight years ago.

Other shows that Angela has appeared in include The Royal Today (2008) and Repeat (2021).
