Taylor Frankie Paul quits Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and blames ‘bullying’ from castmates

Taylor Frankie Paul has quit Hulu's The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, accusing her cast mates and fellow MomTok members of 'bullying' her as she says she's 'relieved to be out'

Taylor Frankie Paul has quit The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, blaming her cast mates for “bullying” her.

Paul, 32, effectively functioned as the center of “MomTok” around which her fellow Mormon Wives stars orbited. Season 5 of the Hulu reality series, which premiered on September 10, touched on the pausing of production in the wake of Paul facing fresh allegations of domestic violence in February 2026.

“I’m just relieved to be out,” wrote Paul in a lengthy Instagram post shared on Monday, September 21, announcing her departure. This follows ABC scrapping Paul’s season of The Bachelorette in March after the 2023 video came to light.

The most recent season of the hit show followed Paul’s tumultuous relationship with ex-partner Dakota Mortensen, conflicts with the other MomTokkers, a glimpse into her stint on The Bachelorette, and the catastrophic fallout after the release of a 2023 video that showed her throwing a barstool at Mortensen with her then-five-year-old daughter in the room, which led to production being halted midseason before Taylor confirmed she would not be returning.

“My gratitude goes to all the networks that supported me throughout this and gave me the chance to return. However I don’t desire to move forward like this,” the TikToker-turned-reality star wrote on Instagram in the caption of a carousel of photos.

“I originally was willing to be removed to let them all continue on with less stress and I’m back to that point. Some of the girls know what I’ve been through and then to turn and collectively pile on with their ‘statements’ knowing there has been ongoing abuse through the system the last 8 months on top of what I’ve endured,” Paul continued.

Her pointed message accused “almost the entire cast plus some” of “going at me….laughing about my kids is disgusting.” Paul claimed that she “bit [her] tongue there.”

“These same people had meetings telling me I need to lead the way of pay….my voice was the only one that can make it happen and then they would work from what I demanded,” the caption continued, “I’m grateful I never followed through with their requests of demands and I’m grateful I kept same pay out of fairness and integrity.”

‘I’m just relieved to be out,’ wrote Paul

She added that she “treat[ed] production and crew with respect always,” stating that “they” checked on her throughout “this.”

Paul then pointed fingers at her cast mates, saying, “I agree it’s to the point of bullying for months now. What makes it harder to take in is some of these parents have made mistakes that would result in the same judgement I’m receiving yet pointing a finger.”

“However it’s a pleasure to remove myself so they can continue, because I’ve almost convinced myself I’m deserving of all this pain and to a certain degree absolutely this is consequences of my actions. My question has been how much suffering and scrutiny is going to be enough…I’m just relieved to be out,” concluded Paul.

Fellow Mormon Wives Mikayla Matthews and Whitney Leavitt also announced they would leave the show

Her dropping out of the reality show follows fellow Mormon Wives cast member Mikayla Matthews, who recently announced that she would step away from the program.

Matthews wrote on Instagram that she is “not comfortable being a part of something that continues to platform behavior I don’t agree [with],” seemingly nodding at Paul’s domestic violence allegations and charges.

“Supporting an ADULT doesn’t mean constantly making excuses for toxic behavior while giving unconditional sympathy and grace with zero accountability or change. I was in that enabling cycle for years, and I’m not going to be a part of that again,” Matthews concluded.

In May, Whitney Leavitt, who has appeared in all five seasons of Mormon Wives, announced that she would be leaving the show.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is available to stream on Hulu.
