Emmerdale newcomer confirms murder – and who the victim will be

Things have taken a dark turn

The following article contains spoilers from the episode of Emmerdale dated October 26. It hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX and YouTube.

Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) was horrified in today’s episode of Emmerdale as he found Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson) lying on the table in the vets with a knife in her back.

Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) and Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) rushed inside to assist Paddy, but Liam got a fright when Mary checks notes…woke up?!

Alright, enough messing about. Mary wasn’t actually dead. She was the corpse in a murder mystery created by Chas.

Yesterday, Chas confronted Liam after convincing herself that he was having an affair with Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker). In reality, while Liam and Manpreet did spend time together, it was actually to attend a murder mystery event.

Liam told Chas that he didn’t invite her because she isn’t actually very good at solving the cases. First mistake. Then he said she was a rubbish actress. Second mistake.

Chas made it clear to Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) that she was going to get revenge on Liam. It left us all worried but, fortunately, her idea of teaching Liam a lesson was a lot different to what we all expected.

An enthusiastic Liam got started on the mission and eventually arrived at Tenants. Pondering over a clue, Liam was distracted when a man called Dave arrived at the door.

Dave whipped out some cable ties and made it clear that he was about to tie Liam up. Liam was a bit taken aback, but assumed that Dave was part of Chas’ game and became bound by the wraps.

Chas previously suspected that Liam was having an affair
The reality soon dawned on Liam that he was in danger

When Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) entered, it suddenly became clear that Dave was not in town to entertain Liam’s love for murder mystery. The new face revealed that Dylan previously ratted him out to the police, and now intends to make him pay.

Dave also warned Dylan and Liam that a murder is going to happen – but it isn’t going to be a mystery.

Finally getting the message that his morning had taken a very dark turn, it dawned on Liam that he was in quite a lot of danger.

But will anyone arrive at Tenants to save Liam and Dylan?
