‘I am so sorry’: Kylie Gillies mortified by X-rated on-air gaffe
A slip of the tongue live on-air had The Morning Show host Kylie Gillies looking like she wanted the ground to swallow her up.

The Morning Show presenter Kylie Gillies suffered a mortifying gaffe while live on air this week, almost dropping the c-bomb while presenting a news segment.
Gillies was sat alongside fellow presenter Sally Bowrey during Tuesday morning’s episode to present a segment about “green noise” – the trend of using noises from nature to help you fall asleep.
“Brown, white, and even pink: They’re all types of noises which are meant to help you sleep. But now, another cun- ah, colour – is entering the chat,” Gillies began, before Bowrey picked up the baton.
“Indeed – green noise! That’s the latest fad to help people catch some Z’s,” Bowrey said before dissolving into laughter.
Meanwhile, Gillies looked like she wanted the ground to swallow her up.
Clearly sensing they had a viral moment on their hands, the team at The Morning Show quickly clipped up the gaffe and posted it to their Instagram account yesterday, just so Gillies’ faux-pas could live on forever on the internet.

Gillies herself chimed in in the comment section, explaining how exactly she’d veered so close to dropping a morning television C-bomb.
“I AM SO SORRY. I saw ‘colour’, was reading ahead to ‘chat’ .. and ended up somewhere in between,’ she explained.
But she drew praise from her friends and fellow Aussie celebs for owning the moment.
“That’s my girl and that’s why we LOVE LOVE our Kylie forever. We all slip up,” wrote Hugh Sheridan.
“Great job keeping it together Sally … and Kylie,” said Fiona Horne.

“Exactly the word I use when I’m staring at the ceiling 3am,” joked Michelle Bridges.
Of course, Gillies isn’t the first Australian TV presenter to get tongue-tied while live on-air with very rude results.
Perhaps the most famous C-bomb in recent Australian TV history came during a 2012 episode of The Project, when host Carrie Bickmore made a very unfortunate error when referring to the airline Qantas during a news segment.
Her accidental mispronunciation of the airline carrier’s name haunted her right up until her final episode of The Project a decade later, regularly making it to air as one of the show’s most hilarious bloopers.
“Any publicity is good publicity right??!! Sorry @qantasairways and my nan,” Bickmore tweeted after the gaffe.
