Emmerdale confirms Victoria’s fate on ITVX after Moira’s shock discovery

Emmerdale‘s Moira Dingle makes a big decision about Victoria Sugden tonight, as she vows to protect the absent character’s biggest secret.
Victoria’s future is thrown into jeopardy once again in Monday’s episode, as her brother Robert breaks his silence over Joe Tate’s blackmail.
As Robert continues to feel guilty for his role in Moira’s recent prison ordeal, he fusses around her with kind gestures. This soon makes Moira suspicious, as Robert isn’t exactly known for random acts of generosity.
Backed into a corner, Robert finally comes clean about how he planted incriminating documents on Moira’s farm, which were found by the police at the start of the year. This set the wheels in motion for Moira to be framed for Celia Daniels’ and Ray Walters’ wicked crimes.
When Moira erupts into a fury, Robert clarifies that he was acting on instructions from Joe, who’d blackmailed him with a video proving that Victoria killed her brother John in self-defence.
“So that’s why Vic was so intent on getting me to sign off on selling the farm,” Moira notes.
“She hated herself for doing that,” Robert replies.
As Moira is determined to expose the full truth surrounding her wrongful arrest, she orders Robert to confess everything to the police – or else.
Later, though, she has a change of heart as she realises that she can’t condemn Victoria to a prison sentence.
“I’m not going to the police,” she tells Robert. “Victoria is like a daughter to me and I would never do that to her.
“But you? You have got no right to ask me for anything. I’m still going to tell Cain – and you might want to be a million miles away when I do…”
Victoria left the village in February, needing time away after so much trauma surrounding the Sugden family.
Isabel Hodgins, who plays Victoria, is on maternity leave but recently confirmed on social media that she’ll return to filming later this year.
