Emmerdale unveils major change for Mandy as Paddy’s future is confirmed
Finally some good news.

Emmerdale has seen a positive development for Mandy Dingle after she was forced to close the salon due to financial difficulties. Meanwhile, Paddy has received the results of his disciplinary hearing following the trial for Ray Walters’ murder, in which he received a suspended sentence.
In tonight’s scenes, Paddy awaited his hearing with dad Bear Wolf, Dylan Penders and Mandy at the cafe. Speaking about the salon, Mandy confirmed she wouldn’t be reopening as she “fell out of love with that place a while ago”.
Paddy admitted he was “uncomfortable” as he headed into his hearing, with Mandy feeling sad she wasn’t allowed to go with him. Noticing Paddy didn’t need her to hold his hand, Mandy sighed, saying: “It just feels like everything’s happening at once.”
A stroke of luck was coming her way in the form of Ruby Miligan, who entered the cafe having a heated conversation on the phone. She had an important business meeting and her hairdresser had just bailed on their appointment due to a hand injury.
Overhearing the drama, Mandy offered to help. Ruby declined, appreciating the offer but saying she was too “high-maintenance”. When Mandy joked about her situation with the salon, an idea formed into Ruby’s mind.
Later on at the Woolpack, Paddy relayed his conversation with the disciplinary board, explained he said being a vet was “[his] life”.
“It’s the only thing I’m good at,” he added as his family as well as colleagues Rhona Goskirk and Vanessa Woodfield threw their support behind him.
The group had a drink while they waited for the panel’s decision. Finally, Paddy’s phone rang with a positive outcome.
“I’ve been reinstated,” he told his loved ones as Ruby came into the pub.
“And I’ve got even more good news!” she said, looking at Mandy.
“You’re in the middle of a thunderstorm,” she continued. “Well, I want to be your umbrella!”
Much to Caleb’s surprise, Ruby offered Mandy a job at the depot, which she accepted gladly.
“What an incredible day,” Paddy said with a smile, but are troubles truly over for them?
