Coronation Street’s Alan Halsall, 43, SPLITS from girlfriend, 26, after a year together
CORRIE star Alan Halsall has split from his stunning girlfriend Ellie Dolan.
The couple have called time on their relationship after one year together, after realising the romance was not what either of them wanted.
They have now unfollowed each other on social media, with Alan, 43, deleting all traces of Ellie, 26, from his profile – suggesting the split may not have been entirely amicable.
A source close to the couple told us: “Alan enjoyed a whirlwind romance with Ellie. They got on really well and she loved spending time with his daughter.”
Alan is dad to 11-year-old Sienna, who he shares with former Cobbles co-star Lucy-Jo Hudson, 42. The pair were married from 2009 until 2018.
Our source added: “Things turned serious quite quickly and they soon realised it wasn’t what they wanted.
“They discovered they were opposites and it wasn’t going to work due to the age gap. Alan has now removed any pictures of her and unfollowed her.”
This time last year, we revealed how the soap star was “smitten” with the mum-of-two, who is 17 years his junior.
The pair met at a swanky hotel and country club where Ellie works and where Alan is a member.
And in a sign their relationship was getting serious, Ellie’s children even met Alan’s daughter, according to pals.
It comes after The Sun on Sunday revealed last February that Alan had split from his Corrie co-star Tisha Merry, 31, after five years together.
