1. Denise breaks down
After Vicki and Ross’s chaotic wedding, the residents of Walford come together. However, Yolande’s mind is elsewhere as she worries about Denise’s absence.
Over at the hospital, Denise is stunned by information relating to her blood cancer diagnosis. The mum-of-three then retreats to Fox and Hair, where Yolande finds her.
As the two women chat, Denise becomes overwhelmed with emotion and reveals that she has cancer.
After returning to No.27, Denise and Yolande share a heart-to-heart.
2. Ian receives life-changing information
When Kathy and Cindy lock horns at Vicki’s wedding reception, Ian makes the call to drive his tipsy mum home.
Having arrived back at No.45, Kathy sings Ian’s praises, telling him how proud she is that he’s been elected as Walford’s councillor.
However, Kathy and Ian’s bubble is burst when they hear shocking news from a visitor to their home.
As Ian realises that he could lose everything, what will his next move be?
3. Chelsea grows close to Mark
At Vicki and Ross’s reception, Chelsea flirts with Mark, until he and Zack wind up in an argument about Vicki.
Next, Zack and Chelsea come close to kissing, but the steamy moment is cut short. As a result, Chelsea returns to the party venue, unaware that her world is about to be blown to pieces.

4. Max proposes to Cindy
Done with the criticism about his relationship, Max publicly declares his love for Cindy, then drops to one knee in front of the stunned crowd.
While Cindy remains astonished by Max’s sudden proposal, Priya tries to capture Ravi’s attention.

5. Denise keeps her diagnosis secret
Putting on a brave face for Chelsea, Denise resolves to keep her health news to herself. Soon, Denise is faced with questions about her previous whereabouts, but Yolande thinks fast and covers for her.
Later, Yolande tries to persuade Denise to come clean to the family, but the hairdresser deflects from the conversation.

6. George offers an apology
Livid that George is spending time with Eddie, Gina expresses her anger to Harry.
Later in the week, Harry brings Gina up to date on comments made by Eddie. With encouragement, a heartbroken Gina heads out to confront George.
At No.1, George is devastated to hear that Eddie hasn’t changed after all. The dad-of-three tries to apologise to his daughter, but Gina flees before they can talk things through.
7. Denise defies doctor’s orders
While staying with Yolande, Denise receives a call from her consultant, insisting that she return to the hospital for immediate treatment.
However, Denise barely has a moment to consider her options, as she receives another call alerting her to the news affecting Chelsea.
As Denise rushes to Chelsea’s side, for how long will she delay going to the hospital?
8. George learns the truth about Nicola
Intent on protecting his family, George tells Eddie that he’s going to send him back to prison.
Immediately, Eddie realises that his son means every word, so he reveals that Nicola has been allowing him to stay in return for his cash.

9. Denise confesses all to Jack
While supporting Chelsea, Denise realises that she needs to face up to reality and heads home. There, Denise bravely reveals to Jack that she has been diagnosed with blood cancer.

10. George renounces Eddie
After questioning Eddie about Nicola, George finally disowns his dad for his despicable behaviour. The father and son wind up in a heated exchange, leading George to make a last-minute move to save himself and his family from Eddie.
