Kim’s decision leaves Charity panicked in Emmerdale as Dr Todd closes in

Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) was given one week to get £100k for Dr Caitlin Todd (Caroline Harker) in Emmerdale, and believed Kim Tate (Claire King) would give it to her.

But what she didn’t consider is that Kim might not actually agree to her proposition.

Charity asked Kim to buy her shares of the Woolpack at a discounted price. In Charity’s eyes, there was no need to question this very generous offer – but obviously Kim did.

She wondered why Charity wanted to suddenly sell up, and knew that she was in some sort of trouble, but Charity wasn’t going to tell her that she slept with Ross Barton (Michael Parr), got pregnant with his child, and then gave said child to Sarah and Jacob Sugden (Katie Hill and Joe-Warren Plant) and allowed them to believe the baby is actually their daughter.

No way was she going to reveal all of that – but maybe she should’ve.

Skirting around the reason for wanting to sell up is another one of Charity’s mistakes she’s made in recent weeks, because her shifty behaviour is stopping Kim from committing to becoming the pub’s new co-owner.

In upcoming episodes, Kim announces that she’s pulling out of the Woolpack purchase. What a nightmare. In her desperation, Charity tries to scavenge a loan from Kim instead.

As she departs, Charity shouts the odds at Kim, which is overheard by Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter).

Defeated, Charity admits to Chas that she’s being blackmailed by Doctor Todd over Leyla’s parentage.

Together, they hatch a plan to rob the safe at Home Farm in an attempt to pay Caitlin off.

To buy herself some time, Charity gives Doctor Todd some money as a down payment, but she states that she wants the rest of the cash tomorrow – or she’ll tell everyone about her baby secret at Sarah’s 21st birthday party.
