EastEnders villain joins Dame Joan Collins in new ‘whodunit’ film – days after soap return was revealed
An EastEnders villain is going to be joining Joan Collins in a new ‘whodunit’ film called A Murder Between Friends

AN EastEnders villain has joined forces with Hollywood legend Dame Joan Collins in a new film, only days after his return to Walford was revealed.
The star quit the soap four years ago but is set to shake things up upon making his reappearance.

Toby-Alexander Smith is known for his role as serial killer Gray Atkins on EastEnders.
And now he’s set to star in a film alongside Joan which is perfectly in keeping with his Walford character: A Murder Between Friends.
The storyline follows six friends who become entangled in a deadly mystery while staying at a country estate.
One of the six is set to meet a tragic end, although exactly who has not been confirmed nor the circumstances of their death.

A synopsis of the film further shares: “With suspicion mounting and tensions rising, the group must determine who has the means, the motive and opportunity to murder.
“Turning to their celebrity hostess for help, they must race against time to uncover the truth, before the killer strikes again.”
Nadia Bjorlin, Jacob Young, Trent Garrett, India Thain, Hana Vagnerová, Jim Borstelmann, Espen Hatleskog, and Emmerdale‘s Simon Cotton shall all be starring alongside Toby-Alexander and Joan in the upcoming picture.
Joan is set to play the role of Francesca Carlyle, who is described as being a ‘showbiz detective’.
She owns the luxurious estate that the six friends are staying at.
Meanwhile Toby-Alexander will portray the character of Sydney, half of a newly engaged couple buzzing with love.
A Murder Between Friends is set to premiere on June 2 in London, and will be available digitally from June 15.
Toby-Alexander’s EastEnders storyline ended in 2022 after he was arrested for multiple murders.
He’s set to make a short return to the show in mid-2026 reprising his role as Gray.
