EastEnders unveils George’s next move as huge death sparks major struggle
He is consumed by guilt...

EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders has revealed George Knight’s next steps as he comes to terms with the death of his evil dad, Eddie. This week’s dramatic scenes saw the end of the Walford villain, but George is left to reflect on the role he played in Eddie’s demise, which leads to a serious health scare in upcoming scenes.
Earlier this week, the dying Eddie told his son about his secret deal with Nicola Mitchell, where he agreed to give her a large sum of money if she persuaded George into letting him stay with them in their final days.

A tense confrontation unfolded and Eddie made more horrific racist remarks, but then began choking on his medication. Instead of helping, George withheld his dad’s water, and watched as he died in front of him.
In next week’s episodes, hours after Eddie is taken away in a private ambulance, George is exhausted and totally consumed by thoughts of his late dad. He then clashes with Nicola over the truth about the money and her manipulation.
George is desperate to blow off steam, so he irresponsibly heads to the boxing ring to spar with Mark. However, their friendly boxing session goes very wrong when George’s fighting becomes more intense, with Mark being forced to defend himself.
He accidentally punches George, leaving him unconscious in the ring. Phil discovers what has happened, and explains that George should have never been boxing in the first place after he developed a life-threatening brain injury a couple of years ago.
George is confused following the incident, but insists that he doesn’t want to go to hospital. Once he is alone with Phil, George confesses to his friend what happened to Eddie, and reveals that he let him die.
After this revelation, Phil takes George home and tells Nicola about his brain injury, something she didn’t know about. As Nicola continues trying to justify why she made the deal with Eddie, George is still feeling guilty and believes that he has failed his children.

As the week continues, Harry is concerned that George could tell Gina about Nicola and Eddie’s secret, so he urges his mum to come clean herself before it’s too late – leaving Nicola with a tricky dilemma.
Nicola attempts to get through to George, but she is surprised to find her partner clearing out his dad’s belongings at home. George admits that she was right when she said it’s time to move on – but will George really be able to move on so easily?
