Emmerdale‘s Billy Fletcher gets a big surprise next week, when an innocent moment with Gabby Thomas prompts her to go in for a kiss.
Gabby gets carried away when Billy provides a shoulder to cry on during a difficult moment, and she feels a spark between them.
After her disastrous marriage to Vinny Dingle and rejection by Ross Barton, Gabby has been feeling unloved for too long. So, she can’t resist making a move when Billy is kind to her, leaving them both confused…
“It really does come totally out of the blue for Billy, so he pulls back,” explains our Emmerdale spy. “He and Gabby lived together as part of a blended family when he was married to Dawn, so this feels quite strange. But Gabby takes it as a full-on rejection.”
Nobody could blame Gabby for almost dying of shame following this mortifying moment. But it’s not clear if Billy is totally against the idea or just caught by surprise.
It’s been a long time since Dawn broke his heart and left him for Joe Tate, and he’s not seeing anybody right now. But the question is whether he felt that spark with Gabby too, or if he just sees her as a friend.
Will Gabby get her man after all, or is she destined for another heartbreak? Well, we already have some further answers, as a series of summer spoilers recently released by Emmerdale offered some longer-term insight…
“Although her wedding day is fast approaching, Dawn struggles to see her ex Billy dating Gabby,” a Dales spokesperson explained. “Soon even Joe, the groom to be, starts to wonder if Gabby might be right about Dawn still having feelings for Billy.
