All Coronation Street spoilers for next week as terrifying hospital dash fractures the street

It’s a dark week for Betsy and Dylan

A hospital dash, a horrific admission and a deeply buried secret all explode next week in Coronation Street.

When Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) is found unconscious by Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott), mum and step mum Lisa and Carla Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers and Alison King) are horrified to discover what’s happened to her. As accusations fly, will Dylan Wilson’s (Liam McCheyne) life ever be the same?

Sarah Platt’s (Tina O’Brien) reaction to Kit Green’s (Jacob Roberts) proposal is marred by guilt, and after she confesses to Theo Silverton’s (James Cartwright) murder, Kit sets about ensuring she remains free, but when he calls in Gary Windass (Mikey North), are his intentions purely altruistic?

Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) continues to struggle with the re-emergence of Tyrone Dobbs’ (Alan Halsall) dad, Ross Wilkes (Ian Burfield). Terrified of the truth behind Tyrone’s birth being revealed, Cassie tries to take him on, but when she’s outmatched, will she be forced to tell boyfriend Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) the truth?

Elsewhere, Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) and Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) are hit with some troubling news and Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) is forced to face the consequences of her actions.

With another schedule impacted by the football, here’s your guide to what – and when – is happening on the cobbles!

Sarah is floored by Kit’s proposal

While Kit remains suspicious of Gary and Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon), and Lisa is forced to remind him that he’s off the Theo case, Maria herself confides in Sarah that her marriage is in tatters. Turning to Gary, crumbling under the weight of her guilt, he implores Sarah to remain quiet. Returning home to find a romantic lunch and Kit on one knee, Sarah can keep quiet no longer and confesses that she killed Theo.

Spotting how uneasy Cassie is around Ross, Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) approaches her with a kind ear. When Cassie admits that she’s being blackmailed, Bernie pushes her to not cow to anyone’s demands and face the problem head on.

Meanwhile, Dylan gives Betsy some cooking lessons and they vow to make their long distance relationship work, while Chesney and Gemma are rocked when they receive Joseph’s (William Flanagan) poor school report.

Wednesday, July 15 – double episode

Betsy’s in a bad way

Having been found unconscious, Betsy is rushed to hospital, where she’s taken for an MRI. When Dylan arrives, she starts to suffer a seizure. Back on the street, Dylan shows Brody and Lauren a comfort package he’s made for Betsy while she’s in hospital, but when he arrives, he’s immediately confronted by Lisa who blames him for Betsy’s condition.

Tyrone is taken aback when he picks up on the tension between Cassie and Steve, and is even further horrified to discover what’s behind it. When Cassie discovers that Ross spent the night with Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford), she puts her hatred aside and tries to warn her of his true colours.

Elsewhere, Kit and Sarah try to discover what their future looks like after her bombshell and he heads to the station and tries to find out who’s in the frame for Theo’s death, while Chesney and Gemma are heartbroken to learn that Linda (Jacqueline Leonard) can no longer afford Joseph’s school fees.

Mary wants justice

George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) and Christina are thrown for a loop when they return home and find Mary Taylor (Patti Clare) selling various household items that Christina’s recently bought. As she moves to confront her, Christina is silenced when Mary reminds her that they were bought on a card bearing her name, and therefore, her property.

Despite Betsy’s pleas to Lisa to not blame Dylan, she’s incandescent and confronts him later in the café, before heading straight to the police station to report a crime.

Also, sickened by the sight of Tracy and Ross kissing in the street, Cassie moves to scupper their relationship, Kit tells Sarah that it’s imperative that Gary hand over his phone so he can wipe it of any incriminating danger and Bernie balks when Chesney and Gemma discuss getting a loan to pay Joseph’s school fees.

Friday, July 17

Lauren shows Dylan no kindness

Tracy’s cold-shoulder act does nothing to affect Ross, and he tells her that he wants to cool their fledgling romance off as he wants to focus on bonding with Tyrone, before threatening Cassie to stay out of his business. When Cassie finds herself thrown out by Tyrone, she considers that it’s time to tell Steve the truth about Ross.

As Dylan reels over recent events, he’s told by Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) that Betsy doesn’t want to see him, before being arrested in the precinct. Heading to the Rovers later, Lauren refuses to serve Dylan or Sean Tully (Antony Cotton), and Dylan retorts that he believes Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) is behind Betsy’s injuries.

Elsewhere, Kit asks the guy he tasked with wiping Gary’s phone for access to his email address, DC McLaughlin tells Lisa they’re about to arrest Theo’s killer, Christina’s habit continues to control her and Chesney and Gemma are overjoyed when Linda calls and tells them she’s found the money for Joseph’s school.
