The Emmerdale star shared her shocking pictures of sores that had appeared all over her hands and arms.

The spots looked incredibly painful, and were swollen and red.

Michelle, who was on holiday in Mallorca, wrote over the top of the photos: “Insta vs reality. Luckily the chemist was very good in Alcudia.”

Referring to the name of the painful skin condition she had, the actress added, #PMLE.

PMLE stands for polymorphous light eruption, which is a common, non-scarring skin sensitivity triggered by ultraviolet (UV) radiation from sunlight.

This latest medical condition comes just months after Michelle shared images of her painful and swollen eye.

In this case, the star headed to hospital for treatment.

In a selfie shared back in March, one of her eyes could be seen looking watery, pink and painfully puffy.

Captioning the post, Michelle wrote: “Anyone else had a scratched cornea?

“This happened Saturday night … little trip to A&E Sunday morning to be checked over.

“Antibiotic cream for five days, good job I’m not back in work until Friday”.
