Nicola’s unexpected saviour and Sadie’s shock new ally as Emmerdale spoilers reveal what happens next

Nicola finds a hero and Sadie gets a shock new ally

Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) faced the music in Emmerdale after telling a heap of lies about Nicola’s (Nicola Wheeler) devoted husband Jimmy (Nick Miles) but she’s finds herself with an unexpected new ally next week.

The legendary show schemer returned to the village last month after two decades away to pay tribute to ex Jimmy, who died in a series of tragic circumstances.

But Nicola was left devastated when Sadie claimed that Jimmy had been seeing her on and off for three years. Nico refused to believe her at first but expert manipulator Sadie made her lies so convincing that she was left with little choice.

But justice prevailed on the day of Jimmy’s funeral as Nicola mustered up the courage to listen to the voicemails her hubby had left for Sadie, which confirmed that he did not cheat on her with his ex – he was simply trying to help Sadie with her financial woes.

After delivering a gorgeous eulogy in memory of ‘every man’ Jimmy, Nicola turned her attention to Sadie at the graveyard – and attacked her with a bunch of flowers before ordering her away.

Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) reiterated that no-one wants Sadie in the village, urging her to leave. But new spoilers confirm for the next episode – which is set to air on Sunday, October 11 – see Sadie with an unexpected new ally.

What happens next in Emmerdale? Spoilers for Sunday, October 11 episode

Kim Tate (Claire King) is worried sick about Joe (Ned Porteous), who is still in the depths of grief following the loss of his beloved Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley).

Serena Sugden (Casey Al-Shaqsy), meanwhile, is concerned about DS Thea Ramsden (Chelsea Edge) – particularly how much anger she is carrying.

A situation arises later in the episode when a drunk Joe prepares to drive his car, with Thea coming to the rescue as she steps in front of the vehicle and refuses to move, despite angry Joe’s pleas as he revs the engine at her.

Thea subsequently takes Joe back home, with Kim grateful to her for being so lenient with him given what he almost did.

Thea stays close to Kim as Joe spirals

Without wasting a second, the matriarch turns her attention to Joe and berates him for making a similar mistake to that of Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson), who is facing prison for his role in the accident that led to Dawn and Jimmy’s demise.

Following this, Serena worries that Thea’s intentions are even darker than before.

And as for Joe, he turns his attention to pariah Sadie – who is turned away by Nicola amid her attempts to cover her tracks – as he recruits her for a new scheme in a bid to seek the ultimate revenge.

Elsewhere, Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) visits Jimmy’s grave with flowers. Robert spots her and suggests she make it up to Nicola with actions as opposed to words.

Gabby later pays Nicola a visit and suggests giving her money through the deal she’s made with Robert to sell the Hide. The situation takes a turn when Gabby has a coughing fit, with Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) urging her to explain to Nico why she was in hospital. Nicola can’t help but feel for her.

Gabby and Laurel say goodbye to The Hide

Gabby and Laurel later hand over the keys to The Hide, while Aaron (Danny Miller) – who urged Robert to make things right with Nicola over the money he stole – is left confused. Robert explains the situation and vows to stop scheming once the deal has gone through. Serena, meanwhile, is delighted when he makes her manager.

The episode in question will also see Vinny lay flowers at Jimmy’s grave while Mandy (Lisa Riley) invites him to tea ahead of his court date, with the whole family gathered to show him just how much they love him.
