Coronation Street’s Bethany forced to deliver heartbreaking news about Kit to Sarah

Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) has a tough conversation ahead of her when she visits Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) in prison in Coronation Street next week.

Sarah is currently behind bars awaiting trial for the murder of Theo Silverton, and though her life may be on pause, everyone else is carrying on – including ex-boyfriend Kit Green (Jacob Roberts).

And with Kit going through a tough time following his stage three breast cancer diagnosis, it is no surprise that he is doing whatever he can to take his mind off things.

Next week, he brings a date home, but when she tries to kiss him, he turns her down, asserting that his head isn’t in the right place. It’s at this point that Bethany arrives, but how will she react as the woman storms out?

Viewers will remember that Bethany and Kit recently slept together, and Bethany is clearly feeling very guilty about betraying her mum and would hate for her to find out what happened between them.

‘Ideally, Bethany wants her mum to forget about Kit and focus on herself and her release from prison. If Sarah gets out and reconciles with Kit, it will make Bethany’s secret even more complicated,’ actress Lucy Fallon explains.

The next day, Bethany visits Sarah and has a tough conversation.

‘Bethany tells Sarah that Kit is dating other women and bringing them home in the hope that Sarah will move on. This way, Bethany hopes she won’t ever have to admit that she slept with him.’

But will her plan work? I mean, this is soap…

Not to mention the fact that Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) has uncovered Bethany and Kit’s secret and even has a recording of them discussing their night together.

Jodie has not yet told Sarah what she knows, but she’s definitely the type of person to keep her cards close to her chest until the time comes when she can cause maximum damage.

Will she get the opportunity, or will Bethany’s guilt force her to come clean before things get that far?
