EASTENDERS’ latest shock incest storyline is set to hit screens tonight, with a fan-favourite revealing she is pregnant with her brother’s child.
The new plot comes just days after the BBC series was blasted for a “gross” incest joke and hot on the heels of Vicki Fowler’s affair with her sister’s brother.
Now Albert Square viewers are set to be stunned as Maddy Hill’s character Nancy Carter is seen back in Walford.
She initially arrives on the EastEnders set seeking legal advice from her brother Johnny, played by Charlie Suff.
Though during their chat she doubles over with pain in her stomach, and is sent straight to hospital.
It is there her pregnancy secret is revealed when she comes face to face with Linda.
Nancy bluntly tells her: “Mum, look, it’s complicated.
“I came to see Johnny, not you. This isn’t what you think it is, and I can’t deal with you right now”.
After sending Linda away from the ward, it appears Nancy has a change of heart later in the episode.
She is heard telling someone on the phone about wanting to tell her mum the truth, before the mysterious caller is revealed to be her brother Lee, played by Danny Hatchard.
The pair then reveal to a gobsmacked Linda they are the parents of the unborn tot with Lee admitting: “It’s me. The baby is mine”.
Back in August, we revealed the two show legends were set to return.
Their characters have made their comebacks after leaving to start new lives in 2022.
Lee struggled with severe depression, overwhelming debt, and the guilt of orchestrating a robbery at the Vic, so he abandoned his wife Whitney and fled to Dover in 2020.
While Nancy, left Walford after the breakdown of her relationship with Zack Hudson, who cheated on her with Sam Mitchell.
Speaking on her return, Maddy previously said: “I am SO excited to be returning to Enders for a short stint and stepping back into Nancy’s shoes (or basketball shorts!). I’ve missed her!
“I’m especially looking forward to seeing lots of familiar faces and acting alongside my incredible on-screen family.”
