Coronation Street

All Coronation Street spoilers for next week as Sally faces downfall after murder

Another messy week in Weatherfield!

Next week’s Coronation Street is serving us up a cruel scam, a punch up, a Halloween fright and big questions.

Lucy Parkinson (Anya Dewin) continues to prove to be perhaps more than Tim and Sally Metcalfe (Joe Duttine and Sally Dynevor) can handle, and after she discovers something massive about Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins), are things about to get even more intense?

Truly toxic Ross Wilkes’ (Ian Burfield) influence on son Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) continues to push him into more extreme behaviour, and when he snaps and lands a punch on brother-in-law Chesney Winter-Brown (Sam Aston), has his vicious dad altered our beloved Ty’ for good?

Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) looks set to make a huge leap in his relationship with Alya Nazir (Sair Khan), but the two find themselves mixed up in the feud between former wing mates, Debbie Webster’s (Sue Devaney) and Paula (Kelli Hollis) – will they find their happily ever after?

Elsewhere, Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) is supported by Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott), Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) pledges her unwavering support to Marco Rhodes (William Teasdale) and Carla Connor-Swain (Alison King) gets the measure of Idris Nazir (Junade Khan).

Let’s get into the spoilers, shall we?

Sunday, October 25

Debbie’s been played by Paula

Paula returns to the Chariot Square and makes nice with Debbie, then listens intently to Adam detailing his proposal plans, using Debbie’s confusion to get the key to the room Adam has set up, and later, when Adam finds the engagement ring missing before he proposes to Alya, he turns on Debbie, who realises her mistake.

Ryan visits Bethany who’s pale and vomiting, and despite her assertions that she’s hungover, he spies her folic acid pills and when he asks if she’s pregnant, she tells him she is, and it’s the result of a one night stand.

Elsewhere, Fiz Dobbs (Jennie McAlpine) begrudgingly accepts Ross’ offer to take Dorin (Henry Nye Meller) and the quads to the park, and Brian Packham (Peter Gunn) is perplexed to find his missing book had been pushed through the Kabin letterbox.

Ross pushes Tyrone to extreme behaviour

When Tyrone discovers a bruise on Dorin, courtesy of Aled Winter-Brown (Joseph Woods), Ross goads him into confronting Chesney and Gemma Winter-Brown (Dolly-Rose Campbell), later arriving and stoking the fire between them, which sees Tyrone, desperate to prove that he’s not a pushover to his dad, punch Chesney.

Despite Lucy’s pleas to be allowed to go to Kayla’s Halloween party, Sally plants her foot firmly down when she learns that there’ll be no adult supervision, leaving Tim to try and convince Lucy that Sally only has her best interests at heart.

Meanwhile, Debbie reclaims the engagement ring from Paula and returns it to Adam, while Ryan steps up to look after Bethany.

Who’s terrorising Sally?

Sally and Tim try to convince Lucy to head to the Rovers’ Halloween party, while keeping the fact that there’s been a riot at Richie Parkinson’s (Nathan Sussex) prison quiet, though noises around the house convince her that Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton) has escaped, and despite reassurance from Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers), when the house is plunged into darkness after a power cut, a ghostly figure creeps up on Sally, and she smashes a vase over their head.

It’s awkward as Gemma and Chesney arrive at the Halloween party, and Fiz pushes Tyrone to apologise and make things right with her brother.

Also, after Adam and Alya are forced to break the news to Summer that Marco lost his case and has been sent straight to prison, he finally proposes and she accepts.

Thursday, October 29

Lucy summons Ruth

Ruth (Amy Drake) the social worker arrives, summoned by Lucy, and Sally and Tim are horrified when she reveals Lucy’s written a journal, accusing Sally of treating her hideously, later repeating her accusations to Christina, who worries to George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) that her granddaughter is being mistreated.

Summer heads to the prison to visit Marco and reassures him that she’s got his back, telling him that she’s sure he’ll win his appeal and soon be free, later meeting up with Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) and Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) and reaffirming her decision to stand by him.

Concurrently, Carla clashes with Idris, who tells Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) he’s set his sights on buying her factory, despite Leanne’s belief that Carla will never give the place up.

Lucy has questions for Christina

As Christina laments failing her daughter, Lucy shows her some old family videos, and when Christina sees Richie in the background of one being abusive to Rachel, she flees, dropping her keyring. Lucy heads to the undertakers, demanding to know why Christina has a keyring with a photo of her mum as Christina tells George about the abuse she saw.

As business worsens at the factory, Idris listens in to Carla and Lisa discussing the problem, before offering a little advice of his own, leaving Lisa amused when Carla tears a strip off him.

Elsewhere, when Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) tells Ken Barlow (William Roache) that his petition to fight the Weatherfield High land grab has been a bust, Ken encourages him to write a piece for the gazette.
