The following article contains spoilers from the episode of Emmerdale dated October 27. It hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX and YouTube.
Emmerdale has confirmed who kidnapped Baby Tate and, despite her need for revenge, it wasn’t DS Thea Ramsden (Chelsea Edge).
Last week, Ramsden reached the conclusion that Kim Tate (Claire King) and Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) were planning to sell Baby Tate.
Thea convinced herself that Kim – who is her biological mother – was planning to get rid of the newborn, given that she was also put up for adoption shortly after birth.
While Thea was busy putting the final touches to her plan, Kim and Graham faced a different type of nightmare when Graham realised that Baby Tate had gone missing from the cottage.
With Graham following the kidnapper’s notes, Kim was at Home Farm, slowly growing terrified over all the alarming noises she could hear.
She called Thea for some help, but Kim soon established that this woman had no intention of helping her when she began to make harsh comments about Kim’s relationship with Graham.
As Kim began to fear that Thea was the one who took Baby Tate, Graham had worked out that he needed to meet the kidnapper at the stables.
While Graham raced over, Kim tried her best to defend herself from Thea. She attempted to escape the house, but Thea had locked the door. The copper grabbed Kim, but she failed to realise that her mum had picked up a knife.

Kim stabbed Thea and watched the woman crumple to the floor.
Back at the stables, Graham had found Baby Tate in a Moses basket safe and well. As he turned around, Graham came face to face with the kidnapper.
But who is it?
You’ll have to check out the episode on ITVX or YouTube right now, or wait until it airs on ITV1 this evening…
