Kim’s fate confirmed as Emmerdale spoilers reveal what happens next
Kim might’ve escaped, but Ruby hasn’t…

It looks like Kim Tate (Claire King) has escaped prison in Emmerdale.
Yesterday saw the truth finally exposed when she discovered that DS Thea Ramsden (Chelsea Edge) is actually the daughter she gave up for adoption at birth…not long after sinking a knife into her as the two came to blows amid the ‘kidnapping’ of baby Tate.
Today saw Kim confess the truth to her sometimes-husband/sometimes-worst enemy Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) as she tried to manage her own feelings alongside the truth about Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) being the kidnapper that snatched the baby and left she and Graham stricken with panic.
At the hospital, Thea mulled over what to tell the police, with bestie Serena Sugden (Casey Al-Shaqsy) encouraging her to tell the truth, later discovering that she was unable to, convinced that she’d seen a human side of Kim, one she hadn’t thought existed.
Thea summoned Kim to the hospital, but when the Queen of Home Farm arrived, she’d discharged herself and was nowhere to be found, with the scene playing against another scene of an evolving parent/child relationship: that of Joe and the newly named William Tate.
After a night spent sleeping at Dawn Taylor’s (Olivia Bromley) grave, Joe was found by an unlikely source of support: Ross Barton (Michael Parr).

The first and only person who’s managed to get through the seemingly-impenetrable walls Joe’s built around himself since the death of his beloved, Ross related Joe’s loss to a number of his own, and for the first time, Joe’s humanity seemed to rise to the surface, and later, he held his baby and pledged to love and take care of him, finally giving him a name while cradling him in his arms.
Insidious Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) continued her vicious campaign against Caleb and Ruby Miligan (William Ash and Beth Cordingly), displaying her expert-level manipulation, by firstly planting the idea that Caleb is a controlling monster into Ruby’s head before later all-but-confirming that she believes Ruby is an alcoholic to Caleb.

Ruby’s trip to the pub saw her cross paths with Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy), and clumsily ask for advice over alcoholism; something Laurel said she couldn’t offer and it was down to Ruby to decide whether or not alcohol had become a problem in her life, later breaking down to Caleb and swearing to go completely sober.
Across the village, Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) aimed to bring sister Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) back to the village but was met with a big fat no, while Laurel attempted to soothe Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) who’s found herself cast out of the Tate clan’s inner circle.
What happens next in Emmerdale?

Monday’s visit to the Dales sees Sadie determined to get results in her plan to obliterate the Miligans.
She begins by spiking Ruby’s mocktails with alcohol and watches as she gets increasingly more intoxicated.
Using Ross as a weapon in her arsenal, she flirts mercilessly with him, talking him into a dance.

Before long, she steps away and swaps Ruby in, leading Caleb to arrive at the Woolpack just in time to see his drunk wife collapse on top of Ross.
Back at home, Sadie leads Caleb to believe that Ruby went home with Ross, and having finally broken him, she manages to get him into bed.
Elsewhere, Robert sets his sights on poaching Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) from the Woolpack, offering him full creative freedom in the kitchen of his new business.
