Isabel Hodgins ‘in tears’ after needing urgent care in postpartum recovery

Emmerdale’s Isabel Hodgins has reassured fans that she’s ‘feeling much better’ after her trip to urgent care yesterday.
Isabel and her partner, Adam Whitehead, welcomed their beautiful baby, a daughter named Georgie Grace, on February 11, and she’s been keeping her fans and followers up to date as she navigates her new reality as a mum.
She’s not shied away from any aspect of post-partum life, and yesterday, she provided an insight into a medical difficulty she faced.
Fans were worried when Isabel took to her Instagram stories, sharing an image of her snuggled up into Adam’s shoulder, with a concerning caption.
‘Today didn’t go to plan. There were tears…and a fear hours spent at urgent care getting checked over. The staff were so lovely and caring.

‘There are some things they don’t tell you about postpartum recovery,’ she wrote on the picture.
Isabel later provided an update for her followers, sharing an image of her holding up a prescription bag.
‘Thank you so much for all the lovely comments and messages,’ she began the caption.
‘The medication is definitely starting to take effect and I’m feeling much better.’

Later on, she took to her Facebook page and shared a picture of her cuddling up to her beautiful baby, providing a further update on how she was feeling.
‘Thank you so much for all the lovely comments and messages. They honestly meant so much. Postpartum recovery was going well… until now, but taking it one day at a time.
‘The medication is definitely starting to take effect and I’m feeling much better.’
Isabel has kept fans updated

Isabel recently detailed an ‘awkward’ interaction with a fellow gym goer and was met with support from her followers.
Taking to her Instagram story with a selfie, she captioned it: ‘Had someone come up to me in the gym today and ask when I’m due…slightly awkward for both of us when I said I had her 7 weeks ago.’
Fans responded positively, offering support.
‘Happened to me! Awkward! But I smiled! It was there for a very good reason’, said one, with another adding: ‘Oh my goodness I’ve done that!! I was very embarrassed.’
She also shared a reel detailing her return to the gym, showing her working out with the caption: ‘Built a baby. Now rebuilding me. No rush… just showing up’
Alongside fellow soap icons, Catherine Tyldesley and Brooke Vincent, who wrote: ‘Go on momma!’ and ‘go on my love’, respectively, on the post, Isabel was met with plenty of well wishes from her other followers.
@janette.adair.31 said: ‘Go girl go…you are smashing motherhood, take care small steps’, while @ajd2701 wrote: ‘You look fab, I remember having my son and I decided I wanted to be fit and healthy so I could play football with him, run around and play all the silly games he wanted to’.
Victoria’s exit

Isabel’s final scenes in Emmerdale as Victoria Sugden aired back in February, as her alter ego left the eponymous village under a dark cloud to facilitate the actor’s maternity leave.
Wracked with guilt over killing her psychopathic half-brother, John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth), and the victim of a malicious blackmail campaign by Joe Tate (Ned Porteous), Victoria had enough.
Heading for sunnier climes and a new life in Portugal, Victoria took son Harry and headed abroad to live with Diane Sugden.
