1. The trial begins
Paddy and Dylan share an emotional moment before court begins.
Marlon encourages nervous April to be brave and to tell the jurors everything about Ray’s abuse.
As the trial begins and the defence and prosecution argue their cases in front of the judge, Bear becomes increasingly overwhelmed by having to relive Celia’s farm and Ray’s demise.
2. April falters under pressure
April struggles under cross-examination, leaving her devastated that she wasn’t able to give strong testimony. But afterwards Marlon praises her bravery.
Next up, Dylan testifies for the defence, explaining how Bear saved his and Paddy’s lives when Ray threatened to kill them.
After Simo gives his account, Bear’s team feel like they have no other choice than to put Bear on the stand…
3. Bear takes the stand
The next day, Paddy and his loved ones arrive in court, terrified that Bear’s testimony might make or break the case.
Bear’s counsellor gives a powerful expert testimony explaining how he was groomed by Ray.
Finally, Bear takes to the stand. What will the outcome of the trial be?
4. Dr Todd lies to Sarah
It’s a struggle for Jacob when he bumps into Dr Todd and she openly mocks him.
But her words are even crueller later when she lies to Sarah that Jacob is desperate to return to work to escape baby duties.
When Sarah confronts her husband, Jacob lashes out at Dr Todd, warning his mentor away from his wife. But his burst of anger in the ladies toilets is spotted by Vanessa. He’s walked into a trap!
5. Jacob is honest with Sarah
Vanessa can’t believe what she’s seen, and Sarah demands to know what’s going on with Jacob’s recent behaviour.
Jacob finally breaks down and shares the truth, recounting details of the bullying and harassment he’s faced at work – and now in the village.
Sarah promises him they’ll face this together, and urges him to stand up to Dr Todd.
6. Sarah encourages Jacob
After Sarah‘s encouragement, Jacob speaks to HR about making a formal complaint.
However, he’s completely stunned when they reveal that Dr Todd has already submitted a complaint about him with a substantial file of evidence.
Jacob falls into despair, feeling like he’s already lost against a senior colleague. With Jacob ready to give up the career that’s so important to him, Sarah encourages him to fight back – and so Jacob heads to speak to Dr Todd himself…
7. Dawn plots against Joe
Facing pressure to be happy alongside Joe’s excitement about her pregnancy, Dawn confides in Moira how difficult she’s finding this revenge plan.
Moira urges her to keep her true feelings of hatred hidden if she wants to stick to the plan and take wealthy Joe for everything he’s got!
8. Moira and Cain are united
Ahead of Cain’s operation, Moira reassures him they’ll face whatever happens as a team.
But she’s secretly hiding her knowledge of Robert’s betrayal, trying to keep her husband stress-free…
