EastEnders’ Honey finally discovers shocking identity secret in early iPlayer release

Bea gets stung by her own actions.

EastEnders spoilers follow for the latest episode that is available on BBC iPlayer, which hasn’t aired on BBC One yet.

EastEnders villain Bea Pollard has finally been found out, as Honey Mitchell discovers that her lodger is the one who has secretly taken out a credit card in her name.

Tonight’s episode (11 May) began with Ian Beale celebrating his win at the Walford East local elections, with Bea filming a social media video with him.

Honey then ran up and asked if he could do something about the identity theft, while Bea tried to play dumb, stating that she didn’t even know that Honey’s real name is Susan.

In the café, an excited Bea showed Ian the newspaper article about their election win, but he was too busy to give her any attention.

At Honey and Billy’s house, Bea bemoaned Ian for brushing her off to the couple. However, she found that Honey only wanted to know if Bea was finally going ahead with moving out now that the election was over.

Bea said she was hoping things had moved forward enough with Ian to move in with him, but her plans were scuppered after he actually read the paper and saw that the article had referred to him and Bea as “Mr and Mrs Beale”. Ian’s actual love interest, Elaine Peacock, had also seen this.

Ian popped round to see Bea, who admitted to buying him some followers to increase his popularity in the election campaign and reasoned that’s what made them a good couple. In response, he told her that he didn’t have feelings for her, in no uncertain terms.

“There is no us, OK? You’re nuts,” he told her, incredibly harshly. “You’re living in cloud-cuckoo-land. You’re a deluded, needy fantasist who is just trying to live their life through other people.”

A furious Bea grabbed him and strong-armed him out of the house, shouting at him that she was too good for him.

Back at Ian’s house, he looked through his boxes of election material and saw invoices using Honey’s real name. He stormed straight back over to Honey’s house, where Bea was spinning a yarn about how Ian was “using” her, and showed Honey the documents.

“She’s the one who’s stolen your identity,” he told her as the episode ended.

Could this be the end of Bea’s scheming? According to Ronni Ancona, it’s actually set to be quite the opposite.
