EastEnders star Jake Wood shows off incredible secret talent as he poses beside painting of Sir David Attenborough

EASTENDERS star Jake Wood showed off his creative skills as he posed beside some of his artwork including a portrait of Dame Barbara Windsor.
The Max Branning actor is a talented artist who recently launched his first exhibition called Icon Series featuring modern portraits of famous faces, with plenty of British talent represented.


Ahead of VE Day, Jake unveiled a large mural of WWII Prime Minister Winston Churchill on the side of the art gallery showing his work in Brighton.
Other British icons include Peggy Mitchell actress Dame Barbara who Jake became close with during their time on the BBC soap. She died in 2020 at age 83 of dementia.
Jake also created a colourful portrait of Sir David Attenborough to mark the TV naturist’s 100th birthday.
The portrait showed Sir David sitting on a throne surrounded by nature and animals. The actor shared a video of him spray painting over parts of the image as it hung on the gallery wall.


“Here’s a picture I did of David Attenborough for his 100th birthday!!!” Jake wrote on social media.
“The images and photos I’ve used were already in existence and I have then collaged them (digitally or manually) and then painted over them digitally myself before printing and sticking them over a mixture of collage, spray paint and acrylic.”
Proceeds of from the sale of his artwork will go to Dementia UK.
Jake joined the cast of EastEnders in 2006 alongside actress Jo Joyner as Max and Tanya Branning.
He briefly left the soap in 2021 and returned to filming last year.
The actor has been married to wife Allison Murray since 2001 and they are parents to son, Buster, and daughter, Amber.
