Twerking Is Officially CANCELED Thanks To Bobbi Althoff & The Cast Of ‘Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives: Orange County’

RIP to the illustrious & eternal art of Twerking… 0 A.D. to May 10th, 2026.
Helluva run really, but certainly gone too soon. Sucks to see such a beautiful act of entertainment go out with such a whimper from an incredibly meager cast of vapid influencers. And here I was about to write a blog about these A+ Tyla twerks from over the weekend too.
As Shaq himself would say, “Aw DAMN.”
HOWEVA, when it comes to explaining that TMZ video at the tippy top, I don’t think I can be much help there either. All I know is it’s from Bobbi Althoff’s live comedy show in LA and was meant to promote her joining the cast of ‘Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives: Orange County’.
You might recognize her from some viral podcast clips that went out a few years ago where she basically copied Zach Galifianakis’ style bar for bar whilst interviewing some famous rappers. Somehow she went from giving fellow Moms lifestyle tips on TikTok to then divorcing her husband and fully injecting herself into the 24/7 LA influencer scene? Inspiring!
Way to own the moment and admit you’re only joining a reality show for the exposure & money. Slight tip of the cap for that self absorbed honesty there. But let’s consult our good friend Wikipedia to get everyone up to speed on the rest of her backstory.
(SOURCE) – Althoff started posting content on TikTok in 2021 with a focus on sharing her pregnancy updates.[6][7] Her first TikTok, which was of her dancing with a banana, reached nearly 2 million views. In 2023, she created a new TikTok account on which she posts comedic videos.[8] That February, Althoff announced she had filmed a pilot for her upcoming podcast.[6] The podcast, named The Really Good Podcast, debuted in April 2023. In July 2023, Althoff interviewed rapper Drake on an episode of The Really Good Podcast. Clips from the interview went viral on TikTok. The full interview was later removed from Althoff’s YouTube channel in August, which sparked rumors of a feud.
Other celebrities Althoff has interviewed on her podcast include Lil Yachty, Mark Cuban, Offset, Shaquille O’Neal, Rick Glassman, Bobby Lee, and Sukihana. In August 2024, Althoff announced she would be hosting a live comedy show at the Wiltern in Los Angeles together with Sukihana. In July 2025, Althoff announced the end of The Really Good Podcast. In August 2025, Althoff announced a new podcast with Drake titled Not This Again.
Because of Althoff’s sudden rise to fame and interviews with high-profile celebrities, she has often been described as an industry plant. Alex Abad-Santos of Vox described Althoff’s style as “unfazed, dry, bored in an ironic way”. He wrote, “She asks her interview subjects what they wear, how they live, and what they like to eat, but doesn’t seem that interested in what they have to say. She meets most of them with deadpan sarcasm and silence, making her guests live in the discomfort of whatever they just revealed.” Althoff’s podcast has been compared to Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis and Chicken Shop Date, which also put their guests in awkward positions.
SO many names I do not recognize and so little time to care. Oh well. Maybe in my next life I’ll give a single solitary fuck about what Bobbi Althoff is doing to support her budding family.
BUT NOT TODAY, SATAN.

I only wrote this blog as an alert to the true twerk artists still fighting the good fight out there. I can only hope they survive this putrid storm and come out stronger on the other side. At least now we all know for sure, they do NOT reside in Orange County. And we simply cannot allow some foul Mormons to ruin it for the rest of us. Dumb dumb dumb dumb DUMB.

PS: impossible to hear “The OC” and not think of this SNL sketch. Dear Sister, by the time you’re reading this…
