Alya is rocked in Coronation Street as two shock revelations hit her

Idris Nazir causes problems

Idris Nazir (Junade Khan) continues to cause problems for his cousin Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) in Coronation Street soon.

Incredibly ambitious, Idris rocked up to the cobbles in a posh car, and his charm was an immediate hit with Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson).

The newcomer is facing the wrath of a number of Weatherfield residents at the moment, due to neglecting tenants Abi Webster (Sally Carman-Duttine) and her son Alfie.

For ages, Abi attempted to get hold of her landlord about the damp growing in her flat. She didn’t know the owner of the property was Idris until his phone rang seconds after she tried to ring the number again.

Things got even worse for Idris a couple of days later, as Alfie was rushed to hospital with breathing difficulties. It was confirmed that his ill health was down to the mould that had formed beside his bed. If Idris had picked up Abi’s calls and taken action about the damage to her flat sooner, things for Alfie would’ve been a lot different.

An angry Abi has now taken legal action against Idris. In upcoming episodes, Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) tells Alya that he’s representing Abi in her case.

Fearing it might impact family dynamics, Alya makes it clear she doesn’t approve, but later tells Idris that she cannot force Adam to ditch his client.

The relationship between Alya and Idris appears to be changing anyways. A couple of days prior to the conversation she has about Adam, Alya is alarmed when Idris tries to talk to her about selling her share of Speed Daal. Idris then reveals some information to his cousin, and it leaves her shocked.

Alya is stunned

Determined to do something about his legal case, Idris tells Leanne that he wants to teach Adam a lesson, and offers Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) £100 to put the frighteners on him.

As the week ends, Adam advises Abi to refuse Idris’ offer of £5k. However, Alya then points out there’s a very real chance the case could go to court and Abi could end up with nothing.

It leaves her torn.

Which path will Abi take?
