EASTENDERS star Maddy Hill has opened up about her big return to EastEnders.
It comes just days after it was revealed that the actress, 36, along with Danny Hatchard, 35, who plays her brother Lee, would both be heading back to Albert Square.
Together with actor Danny, Maddy will be seen back on EastEnders later this year.
Their characters, Nancy and Lee Carter, are returning to the Square after leaving to start new lives in 2022.
Lee struggled with severe depression, overwhelming debt, and the guilt of orchestrating a robbery at the Vic, so he abandoned his wife Whitney and fled to Dover in 2020.
While Nancy, left Walford after the breakdown of her relationship with Zack Hudson, who cheated on her with Sam Mitchell.
Speaking on her return, Maddy said: “I am SO excited to be returning to Enders for a short stint and stepping back into Nancy’s shoes (or basketball shorts!). I’ve missed her!
“I’m especially looking forward to seeing lots of familiar faces and acting alongside my incredible on-screen family.”
Maddy and Danny have already been seen filming scenes and will back in the autumn.
The characters are set to ruffle feathers when they make their EastEnders comeback.
Queen Vic landlady Linda Carter – their mum – will be left stunned by the arrival of her children, after weathering her fair share drama in their absence.
The upcoming episodes will see the pair attempt to step back into the Carter family fold.
