EastEnders’ Jesse Wallace’s sister Danielle reveals she’s taking son, 14, out of school after daily calls from teachers

EASTENDERS star Jessie Wallace’s sister Danielle Mason has revealed she’s taking her son, 14, out of school.

The My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding star, 43, said she had made the tough decision after getting daily calls from his teachers.

Danielle, who shares the same mum with half-sister Jessie, 54, has two children Rudy, 14, and Delilah, 12

The star shares them with her Traveller ex-husband Tony Giles, who she shot to fame with on My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding.

The former couple split up in 2016 and Danielle has since raised them as a single mum.

Today, the mum-of-two revealed how Rudy, who has ADHD, is set to take him out of school for good, as she thinks it’s the “best thing for him”.

Speaking to the Mail about the situation, Danielle said: “I am going through this schooling issue at the moment. My son is half Traveller. I had kids with Tony when I was 28.

“I brought my kids up like how I was brought up – going to school.

“But for some reason my kids just don’t fit in the school system. Everyone says that it is because they have got Gypsy in their blood. My son is on his third school now.

“They do have SEN issues. They both have ADHD. And I find schools don’t offer a lot of support for Travellers, they don’t know a lot about the heritage and the culture.”

Revealing her decision to pull Rudy out of classes, she said: “I have a meeting with the school next week to de-register him.

“I am sick of the school keeping on ringing me about him about his behaviour and it is embarrassing.

“When me and Tony split up I brought them up on my own. People say “you should still teach them manners”, but when you are a single parent it is hard to keep on top of their behaviour at all times.”

Danielle added: “But I do feel happier about it now. I don’t think that school is for every child.

“He is out with his dad learning about landscaping and brickworking.”

Meanwhile, it was revealed last Christmas how Danielle and EastEnders star Jessie had made up, after a nearly decade long feud.

Danielle, who lost her father Ronald Mason last year, shared a sweet snap of herself with her family, including her famous sister.

Taking to Instagram she penned next to the photo: “Xmas with family in PJs, slippers & mum, jessie.wallace_official @tallulahlilacw @delilah348340

“First Christmas without my dad, but he’s in our hearts in everything we do.”

Jessie, who plays EastEnders icon Kat Slater, was last seen with her sister in 2017, so the image marked a milestone moment for the pair.

Their bad blood is said to have begun when Danielle’s father Ronald was diagnosed with leukaemia.

At the time, Danielle accused Jessie of not keeping up contact during his health battle.

She claimed the star only texted her mum twice while he was ill, and Danielle believed they would always have a difficult relationship.

Danielle previously explained: “We are sisters so we just row about sisterly things. We’re like any normal family. We fall out.”

Through the years, there seems to have been an array of issues and obstacles for the siblings.

Talking of one spat in 2019, reality TV star Danielle explained: “We’ve fallen out again. She stitched me up on my birthday, so I got the hump.

“I just got the nark. We fell out.

“We had a massive row and called each other all the names under the sun. It was worse than anything on a soap opera.”

Danielle went on to admit that she can be “horrible” to her famous sibling, adding to the Daily Star Sunday: “She is quite grown up.

“She doesn’t argue back. But I am horrible.”

The situation then escalated as one of Jessie’s mates hit out at Danielle on X, formerly known as Twitter.
