EastEnders and Dancing on Ice star Matt Lapinskas announces heartwarming family news

Former EastEnders star Matt Lapinskas has revealed he is expecting a child with his wife , Karina Hind.
The 37-year-old actor, who competed in the 2013 series of Dancing on Ice, announced the happy news on Instagram on Tuesday, 25 August.
In the short video, Hind can be seen stroking her husband’s arm, and as the camera pans down, it reveals Lapinskas wearing a pair of newborn baby’s white socks on two of his fingers.
Hind then shows off the black-and-white scan photos of their unborn child, who is due next year.
Lapinskas captioned the post: “Our greatest role yet… coming 2027. After a long time hoping, dreaming and wishing for this moment, our little miracle is finally on the way.
“Our hearts are completely full, and we feel incredibly blessed to be stepping into our new roles as Mum & Dad. Life has always been an adventure, but this next chapter is one we’ve dreamed of more than anything.”
He continued: “We can’t wait to meet you, little one. The Lapinskas family is growing by one. Our next role begins in 2027.”
Lapinskas’ friends and fans were quick to comment on the post, as one person wrote: “Huge congratulations to you both,” while another said: “Thrilled for you both.”
A third person posted: “Oh my god! Congratulations to you both! So happy for you. You deserve it,” and a fourth added: “So excited for you both, you’ll make the best parents.”
Lapinskas and Hind got engaged in 2024 and married the following year in May 2025.
The actor first found fame playing Anthony Moon on BBC soap EastEnders from 2011 until 2012, appearing in 102 episodes.
Lapinskas was runner-up when he competed in the eighth series of ITV’s Dancing on Ice alongside professional skater Brianne Delcourt. The duo lost out to Beth Tweddle and her partner Daniel Whiston.
More recently, he enjoyed a guest role in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks, and starred as a young Victor Frankenstein in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein: Modern Day Prometheus at Exeter’s Barnfield Theatre.
