EastEnders airs shocking Max and Cindy wedding cliffhanger in early iPlayer release
It was never going to be smooth sailing, was it?

EastEnders spoilers follow for the latest episode on BBC iPlayer, which hasn’t aired on BBC One yet.
It’s the day of Max Branning and Cindy Beale’s wedding, as well as Howie Danes and Kim Fox’s. That in itself is already a recipe for chaos, but now it looks like Max and Cindy’s big day is heading for absolute disaster, and it’s obviously all Max’s fault.
Max has not only been having an affair with (a now-pregnant) Priya Nandra-Hart behind Cindy’s back, but he’s also remained close to Linda Carter, mother of his daughter Annie and who admitted last week that she was in love with him.

Today’s episode began with Oscar and Jack looking around the Square for Max, who was skulking around hungover and bruised.
People were dropping out of attending Cindy and Max’s wedding, much to Cindy’s annoyance. Meanwhile, the horse Howie booked for Kim turned up – although Denzel quickly told him that he couldn’t imagine Kim would be too excited at her surprise potentially ruining her dress and hair.
Max turned up at Peacock Palace to have a go at Linda for waiting until the eve of his wedding to tell him “the thing I’ve been waiting years to hear”, accusing her of “getting off” on “throwing breadcrumbs”.
As the two argued, Max admitted that he’s been sleeping with Priya, and she promptly kicked him out.

Max headed to the car lot to find Priya, and they quickly started arguing too.
As she told him that she was quitting her job and calling off the affair once again to focus on her engagement to Ravi Gulati, he replied: “Well, let’s hope Linda don’t blab, then.”
If that wasn’t bad enough, Lauren walked in. Fuming about the affair, she promptly kicked Priya out.
“I don’t want to be anywhere near this car crash. I want nothing to do with it. Have a nice wedding, dad,” she spat before leaving Max alone.
Max returned home in a slump, adamant that there was no point in going to the wedding as it would be a “disaster”, but Jack forced him to go as he had left Denise in hospital to be there.
As the couple finally stood at the altar to tie the knot, both Linda and Priya arrived.
The episode ended before Linda could say anything, but you know there’s going to be fireworks. The question is, just how explosive are things going to get?

Elsewhere, Kim and Howie’s didn’t go off without a hitch either, but was relatively calm compared to Cindy and Max’s. She loved the horse, and Denise got to watch via a video call, but Kim got overwhelmed and decided that it wasn’t right.
The couple turned up at the hospital, friends and family in tow, to get married in Denise’s room.
