Nicola’s funeral revenge and Sadie twist as new Emmerdale spoilers confirm what happens next
The moment we’ve waited for

Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) was reeling in Emmerdale after being double-crossed by Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) and she wasted little time plotting revenge ahead of Jimmy King’s (Nick Miles) funeral.
Robert, however, may soon be the least of her worries.
Sadie, as viewers know, returned to the Dales in the wake of Jimmy’s demise, claiming that she’d been in a secret relationship with the haulage owner for three years.
The news came as a shock to grieving wife Nicola (Nicola Wheeler), who long thought she was Jimmy’s ‘one and only’. Sadie’s claims proved too hard to dispute and thus Nicola’s life has been turned upside down as she attempts to come to terms with the fact that her beloved beau was allegedly cheating on her.
Sadie’s claims about Jimmy, however, are all lies. She’s simply out to get her hands on his money and is using Nicola in order to do so. Robert, meanwhile, is in cahoots with Sadie to track to down the cash – and he double crossed her this evening after he managed to locate the funds all on his own.
Sadie was livid when she discovered his betrayal and will make it her mission to get revenge.
But with Jimmy’s funeral imminent – and Nicola having been told by Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) that Jimmy would never knowingly leave her penniless – will Sadie succeed in getting what she wants before Nico works out the truth? Or will the day of the funeral lead Nicola to see Sadie for who she truly is?
What happens next in Emmerdale? Spoilers for Friday, October 9 episode
The day of Jimmy’s funeral dawns and Nicola is finding it difficult to honour the man she thought she knew while trying to come to terms with the possibility that he was cheating on her.
The villagers prepare for the goodbye service at the Woolpack. Carl Holliday (Charlie Joyce), meanwhile, is left worried when he loses the memorial presentation he’s made for Jimmy.
In a bid to help, Nicola logs on to Jimmy’s laptop, where she finds the voicemails. With Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) by her side, she finally listens to them.

The question is: will she discover the truth? Will she find out that – despite Sadie’s claims – Jimmy was not having an affair or leading a double life?
Is Sadie about to be exposed?
The remains to be seen but it’s safe to assume that Sadie will be preoccupied with trying to find out whether Robert succeeded in getting his hands on Jimmy’s money.
As the villagers gather at the church, Sadie takes great delight in grabbing a front row seat.

The funerals commences and Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) delivers an impersonal speech. Nicola therefore stops him in his tracks and decides to speak for herself.
But just what will she have to say?A trailer for the funeral (which you can see above) seemed to imply that Nicola does finally uncover the truth – so just how will Sadie react if this proves to be the case?
