Emmerdale‘s Caleb Miligan plots to sabotage Sadie King’s friendship with his wife Ruby next week, hoping to banish her from their lives and keep his sordid secret.
After their illicit night together, Caleb wants Sadie far away from the village so Ruby can’t learn the truth. But with Sadie’s feelings growing, will she go quietly?
“Sadie’s attraction to Caleb is genuine,” teases our Emmerdale insider. “She flirts up a storm, but he’s ignoring their sexual tension and helping her move out of the village.
“When that doesn’t work, he’s forced to meddle…”
The week begins with Joe Tate taunting Caleb after tricking him into revealing the truth.
Joe makes it clear that he could expose the truth to Ruby at any moment, which would potentially wreck the Miligans’ marriage forever.
Caleb calls Joe’s bluff by warning that Ruby wouldn’t believe it, but Joe rightly points out that she would listen to Sadie. This warning hits home for Caleb, who quickly realises that he needs to get rid of Sadie…
Determined to banish Sadie for good, he tampers with some paperwork to make it look like Sadie messed up an order, hoping it destroys her friendship with Ruby for good…
However, Caleb’s plan backfires and Sadie saves the day, cementing her closeness with his wife and ruining his masterplan.
Having worked out what Caleb was up to, Sadie lashes out, insisting she only wanted to spend time with him.
But despite Sadie’s promise that she won’t come between him and Ruby, later she watches footage of their passionate encounter – and it soon becomes clear she’s far from finished with Caleb…
Will Sadie tear his marriage apart to get what she wants? Or will Ruby become suspicious of the awkward tension between her husband and her best friend?
